"We were in Winterthur at a Sunday lunchtime need ing food and spied an old favourite, Molino. The restaurant was busy but there was room for two. The menu was different to that we have seen previously so we went for two design your own...pizzas, choosing our bases and then our toppings. Both pizzas were delicious. If we are in Winterthur again, we will consider revisiting Molino."

"After reviewing some of the restaurants in the area I was rather shocked by the prices on the menus ( 25 franks for a pizza...?Come on! ) so I ventured 'solo' at Bistro im Rathaus. The menu is small but have a good selection of Italian, Swiss and some Thai dishes. As it was almost closing time I asked the owner to bring me a typical Swiss dish. ( a potato rosti with chicken) it was not fine dining but filling, delicious and moorish. The manager /owner sat with me ( to keep me company ) and we had a couple of cold beers. If you are after simple good food and good service without having to break the bank go the bistro and enjoy. You won't regret it."

"If you are vegetarian or vegan than this is place for you for sure. This is good place with range of vegetables and items. The whole restaurant is vegetarians so even no need to worry those who are strict vegetarian. Buffet style so grab what you need or want to eat ans pay accordingly. Nice place to have veg meal."

"I have often gone to the restaurant china town in frauenfeld. in summer there is a beautiful garden with shade-giving trees. eating is always good and plentiful. it is not an acute or modern buckling taste, but honest and simple dishes. absolute top class are the artistic ornaments made from fruit or vegetables in the form of drachen, birds, flowers etc.We have also already made a multi-course menu to deliver a family-proof home and were very impressed by the service.All in all - I can recommend this restaurant very much."

"Right next to the medieval Mörsburg Castle is the Schlosshalde inn in a magnificent panoramic location. It is owned by the city of Winterthur and is a cultural asset of national importance. Last night we drove here through the snow-covered winter landscape. In the very beautiful house we got a table in the great room with a great ambience. The service was very friendly and attentive and changes to the menu were no problem at all. The food was beautifully prepared and we enjoyed it. The price-performance ratio is excellent."
