"Old Cubans, Old Fashioned’s, burgers, lobster Mac n cheese the fried chicken burger was a thing to behold…. Be prepared, it is BIG. Great food. Great service. On the more expensive side but it was worth it for me. Nice building right in Gastown ?"

"I had a $100 gift certificate given to me for the University Golf Club. I could have used it for golfing, for the pro shop or the restaurant. I had played the golf course many times in the past and had enjoyed the food afterwards. I chose to use the certificate to invite family members to the brunch. I was very disappointed with the quality of the food especially when they professed to have a chef on duty. My vegetarian burger was very poor in taste and poorly presented. The burger was pan fried with a lot of oil and was very flat like a pancake. The patty was much larger than the bun. The side salad did not look fresh and was not very appealing. The restaurant seemed to more of something you might find in a small rural town where there is just a short order cook. The wait staff were polite but were not that attentive. We had to make several requests for cutlery, extra plates and refills of refreshments. Totally disappointed. I would have been better off to have used the certificate in the pro shop and taken the guests to Mayfair Lakes Golf Club for lunch. Not a place for casual non-golfers to lunch."

"So I actually went here last September and forgot to write the review. But I can't imagine it's gotten better since then. The cafe was down the street from a hotel I was staying in. The only reason I went in there was because it...was used in the movie I, robot. There was only 1 person working that I could see and it took her forever to take my drink order. The coffee was ok. When she finally decided to take my order I ordered the French toast with eggs (over easy) and bacon. The bacon was the only good thing about the whole meal. The eggs were barely cooked; the whites were mostly runny. The French toast was more egg than bread, which was also not cooked. It looked more seared than anything because the middle of the bread was extremely wet and soggy. I couldn't even get it remade because the waitress didn't come by for about 25 minutes after I got my food. Not even for a coffee refill. Absolutely disgusting."

"Only blocks from our home, my wife & I finally had a chance to visit Enigma, and were very pleased that we did. It wasn't busy when we arrived for supper on a Friday evening. We were quickly seated. Our waiter quickly brought us a plate of bread of butter, and menus. We weren't rushed, but our attentive server noticed when we seemed ready to order. Overall service was excellent.I took advantage of the Friday evening pint of beer special, while my wife ordered red wine. Very reasonably priced drinks.We started with humungous house salads. Our waiter did suggest that could share, but we're big veggie eaters and the sizes were perfect. Lots of pumpkin seeds & dried cranberries were added to the pile of greenery & cherry tomato halves, along with a our different but very tasty house dressings on each.My wife had a yummy Guinness Beef stew with lots of tender meat, steamed veggies, and mashed potatoes. I had the daily special grilled lamb chops. Although our waiter did not ask how done I wanted them, the three tender chops came perfectly medium as I would have ordered. The chops had a very nice smoky flavour, and had just the right amount of tasty, tangy house BBQ glaze. The meal came with the same steamed veggies as the stew, but steamed potato chunks instead of mashed.Both meals were very reasonably priced and delicious."
