"Brilliant experience met at pub early to go cycling with friends. landlord or landlady could not have been anymore helpful or welcoming. We had lunch following cycling white castle route. For lunch my friends pies and chips were great, I had fish and chips fish was fresh and easily best i have had in 10 yrs beating Padstowe and Whitby by some margin good value to boot."

"When I booked for Sunday lunch, there were 3 choices on the menu, and they looked okay. I specified veggie options when booking. On arrival, when we ordered, only veggie sausages were available. Meat eaters had several choices, as usual, chicken or turkey, for the same price. Very disappointing. Needless to say, we went elsewhere."
