"My wife and i were out for a drive today and as we came into Millisle, Co Down, we spotted this cafe/restaurant called J&R's Grill. So we pulled over and decided to have lunch. The surroundings are quite nice, looking into the main street, not...massive but cosy. The staff were more than helpful and brought us the menu's, i ordered cod and chip's with tea, bread and butter, my wife had the chicken goujon's. Well the servings we got were massive, a lovely well done cod and nicely done chips , alas i couldn't finish it, there was just too much for me but really lovely, my wife's goujon"s were massive, beautiful white chicken breast nicely battered with salad and a very nice sweet chilli sauce and golden chip's. Overall a pleasureable visit and would highly recommend a visit, you wont be disappointed, and good value as well."

"Sad this place has suffered the same fate as those that came before it. You’d think the building was jinxed! They made a good stab at it but in essence it was just providing the same stuff everyone else was in the town and getting stubborn NI people to change their allegiance to a new restaurant was always going to prove to be a tough ask. I think what’s more disturbing now is their choice of local ‘PR consultant’ (lol) to deal with the aftermath is both worrying and seriously misguided. Frightening, actually."

"The very best service with every visit. The place has such a nice atmosphere and you’re able to enjoy your food with not too much going on around you. Anytime I have visited my food has been super tasty and actually served warm! I always go for the veggie/vegan curried cauliflower burger which never fails to hit! The staff are honestly all lovely, especially Taylor!! Not only good food, but they also do pretty good cocktails and gin and lemonades."

"Ordered from here 2 weeks ago. got a hair in my pizza, phoned back to complain, they sent a driver out to collect the pizza and hair (and even he looked sickened when i showed him) an hour later still hadn 't heard anything back. so called them, when the nice bloke on the phone repeated my address i heard someone else shout 'is that her? give it to me? ' and then i got a long rant from the 'chef ' about how it was a 'mushroom fibre ' and they 'don 't have hair here ' so not only are all their staff bald but apparently mushrooms have hair follicles now......? had the cheek to ask if i wanted another pizza and got shirty when i asked for my money back. another hour later another delivery driver arrived with my refund which was £5 short. by this stage i was just so annoyed i let it slide. I will say though that the drivers and the guy i spoke to on the phone were lovely. it was the attitude of the 'chef ' over it all that means I won 't be going back"

"Fit us as a walk in and both see bass with noodles and scampi were excellent. finished with a trio of gloomy from the special table, which the cherry on the cake on a large evening."

"Unfortunately the amazing guiseppes that I've been going to since the late 80's has turned into a pizza hut style takeaway twice the price for half the size! Also pizzas are made and prepared by teenagers, was always lovely getting pizzas made by the older Italian."
