"I have been going here for years , it is a lovely place to eat, the food is delicious, cooked how you want it ,ie steaks , it is always very well presented on the plate and always hot . The ambience is delightful very cosy and welcoming, the staff are absolutely lovely and very helpful and friendly."

"Edlesborough Ford has a special place in my grey haired heart (as Dylan Thomas would say). Never mind scrumping apples we discovered that upstream of the Ford itself and within sight of the old Windmill there roamed delicious rainbow trout who would succumb to a knob of bread paste on a 10lb breaking strain line and a size 10 hook ! How delightful it was to sit down again for lovely cakes and tea coffee. Steve Creed, Bruce Lange, Wilf Hately; and 'chew the fat ' about our naughty pre teenage poachery at 'The Hirloom '. I no longer have the split cane rod that I swapped with Bruce, But if 'The Heirloom Cafe ' want 's a 'wall hanger ' I can gift something similar (or swap it for a cup of tea and a cake ?"

"Website says children eat for 1 between 1500-1900. desk online and was told by employees via the phone, the discount does not apply until 1700. in the parking lot waiting a few times when we arrived, the employees told us that children for 1 finishes at 1500 eat. it was confusing, but we clarified it at the end; we could use it was then 1700. we just wanted to be crystal clear, we asked if the kids would eat for 1 drinks as eating deal, we were told, I think so. we started with drinks from the kinder meals, as what people would usually order when the drinks arrived, then we were told that the kids for 1 deal would eat only cover food, so we better forget about the discount, as drinks were 2.20 and it would cost us more to eat the children for 1 and order the drinks separately. we thought it would be simple enough, but apparently the pasta dishes did not come with a side and veg, although they were on the same menu (see photo attached) we have tried and decided to continue as all the children at this point the last weep, the staff appreciate again to tell us that the system was somehow updated and now we could build our pasta with a side and veg. throughout the evening there were many changes in the answer, I did not sure. I think I have to check. absolutely nothing wrong with the review, but its quite uncomfortable and disappointing when they are on the move with the whole family with 6 children. I think that someone with children could relate to it, because sometimes time is money. frankly, we were there for the convenience and discounted, but we have no."

"Called in a small order at 18:10. We were told it was a 40 minute wait which was fine as we were on our way home and timed it so we could collect rather than wait for delivery as we had our son in the car. We pulled up and went in at 18:45. At 19:00 we chased…..nothing. They completely ignored the fact it was now late and carried on serving tables. At 19:10 asked again….nothing. By this point I’ve had to sit in the car with my son for 25 minutes. At 19:15 we told them to just leave it was it was nearly 25 mins later than expected. Funnily enough THEN the food appeared. When we got home it was not correct either. Good was cold and overcooked. If they had told us the wait was going to be over an hour we wouldn’t have placed the order! Never again!"

"We were struggling to find a nice restaurant that offered a decent gluten-free offering, and decided to stop off at Buckingham having looked this place up on Tripadvisor. Really impressed. A small place, but lots of character and the staff were great. Plenty of options for starters, mains and desserts with a good gluten free choice (about which the staff were knowledgeable), and actually some novel and interesting choices. Really enjoyed our meal, good atmosphere, and a reasonable price. If you're looking for a good meal at a reasonable price you can't go wrong. For starters we had Macho Nachos (gluten-free) and prawn tostada. For mains the Jamaican Lamb Curry (gluten-free) and the Surf and Turf Burrito. Dessert Churros, Warm Chocolate Brownie (gluten-free) and the Vanilla Panna Cotta. All really good, and good size helpings. Recommend you pay them a visit."
