"Update: the owner is now saying this was not about the pushchair. This is not what they said to us yesdsrday. They said we can't enter with a pushchair. They said it twice to my husband and me separately as I asked them to repeat it because I could not believe it. Also, it was not at 6.40pm. We picked our daughter from the nearby busy bee at 6pm and came straight to the restaurant. The place looked really empty. You are not making your restaurant look better by implying the customer lied in their review. However, I can see that some other clients who left low stars also got a rude reply, so I am not totally surprised. Original review: We've been refused an entry because our 2 years old was in a pushchair. The room was almost empty, with just a few tables being occupied. A bit shocking as it never happened to us before. The place doesn't even look small in comparison with the tiniest caffes in central London we've been to. If they can't fit a pushchair how are they dealing with a person in a wheelchair!?"

"The Taste of things to come! Forget Celebrity Chef, Nigella and Jamie just come dine with me to Taste restaurant (part of Merton College's catering and hospitality department) where friends and I wined and dined on Wednesday 9th March! Ours was an international menu devised and cooked by senior students with waiting and front of house mostly attended to by their level 2 colleague all supervised by experienced qualified tutors and served with a garnish of confidence, competence and courtesy. No shouting sweating and definitely no swearing. So eat your heart out Gordon Ramsay whilst the rest of us go Ready Steady and Book The Taste for fine dining at it's best. Philomena Nolan."

"Really love the dessert here, it’s pricey in Morden and obviously less expensive in Winnipeg. In Winnipeg, these are sold by the pound for $6. They cost $5.50 for 4 here, which is still pricey. I placed an order and was only given 1$5.50 for one of these? Going forward I’ll stock up when I’m in Winnipeg. I’ve gotten past the staff never wearing masks/hair nets, but it is a restaurant. The younger man (or maybe early 30s? finally put on a mask and when it got busy, worked with different orders, and never washed his hands between covering his face and dealing with different orders.. The woman who works here is a sweetheart but it’s disappointing that I’ll have to check to see if my two small sides are correct prior to leaving, if I ever order from here again."

"We went to the medieval feast and it was worth every penny! The attention to detail and atmosphere was just amazing. They were also kind enough to substitute the traditional turkey leg for something vegetarian for me, and it was delicious! Thank you so much for a lovely evening."

"Really love the speciality blend and the care they take over the whole experience. Staff are all positive and keen to help. Drinks brought to your table not left at the end of the bar is a nice touch! The clientele changes throughout the day with a lot of commuters first thing; mums and tots in the morning; and a good mix in the afternoons. I hear the live music events are very worth attending also."
