"By far the best Chinese food I've tasted in Oamaru. The vegetables taste better than the other places I've been to. They also keep the sweet and sour sauce in a separate container so you can combine it with the meal you bought, when you get ro wherever your eating, which prevents the battered meat from getting soggy and mushy. All in all.. the food was great, I couldn't fault anything"

"Went into subway this evening. At was met with lovely staff. Especially the server Jake with the cool beard and dreads. He made us feel very welcome and gave us a good laugh. Also makes the best subways I’ve ever tasted."

"Me and my partners absolute favourite place, good quality fish cooked in a fryer which has a built in oil filter, absolutely delicious. Love their raspberry and white chocolate doughnut and having spoken to the friendly owner it is clear that they put a lot of thought into their menu and how they can improve it over time :"

"Recently went to the Criterion on the Monday afternoon of the long weekend in NZ. A local put myself and 6 of my mates from Oz onto the pub.....what a great bloke. Had the best time....the Manager, Sue, is a gem...what a great night ! The drinks and food were excellent. If the steak I had was a woman.....I would have married it ! Big Tick !"
