"We were greeted by Niloy Roy (restaurant supervisor and had good food in Blue Betel Cafe, Havelock. Very friendly staffs and tasty food and excellent service. Niloy gave us a new experience, bringing out the live Lobster and Crab (kid loved it and suggested what...goes well with them. Dont miss the Kulfi : A little expensive though, but good place for family and kids."

"Havelock is a place that time (the Indian Government) left behind by roughly half a century. No wonder it attracts everyone - it is still pristine, if rugged and downright rustic. When you get off at Jetty No 1 at Havelock Is, don't rush off in the chartered coach to take you to some fabulous resort. Instead, spend some time at Village No 1 (these hamlets have no names, only numbers!).Nala's Kingdom is located along the water-edge, a few hundred paces away from the jetty. Established in a canr/bamboo shack, it boasts of a two-tiered seating - families upstairs, others downstairs. Food can't have been fresher than here - when you ask for fish curry, the fish is picked out fresh from the water-front. My daughter ate fish for the first time here, and asked for more. She hasn't touched fish again; it just doesn't match up in comparison.The warmth is typical of Indian hospitality at it's best. The eatery is run by a lone Keralite in a Bengali camp, and outdoing them outright.Not only recommended, Nala's Kingdom is a must visit even if you have had only 24 hrs planned for Havelock. Plan either breakfast or lunch here - Village No 1 does not have any convenient residence for the night, and transport is difficult to come by after dark, unless you are mobile on a hired two-wheeler.There are no specific meal-times. The place opens at sunrise (or maybe half-an-hour later), and stays open till about 10 pm."

"Chole Bhature Bhature is very small like poori and chole was terrible. Chole was like half cooked and fully oily and too much sour. They charged 90 Rs per plate thats 10 Rs extra than their Menu."
