"$2 upcharge for fries seems asinine, but I paid for it anyway so what do I know? I've watched this place evolve over the past two decades. The menu has tanked a bit. The burgers are good, the caprese wrap is good. Chicken is just okay. Workers are mentallu checked out- can't blame them tho. We eat because it's there and we don't wanna leave before seeing everything ?"

"Let me start with the fact that the owners were extremely professional and accommodating. They brought their truck to our work and managed to put out a ridiculous number of lunches in only a few hours. There was not a single person who had anything to say mother than the food was fantastic. I personally tried the ribs, shrimp, and wings. All three were delicious. The homemade BBQ sauce for the ribs was sweet and tangy and complimented the meat flawlessly. The chicken wings were large and cooked to perfection. The breading on the shrimp did not overpower the flavor of the shrimp itself, instead it added a layer of saltiness that sent the shrimp to new levels. If you see Dee Queezy pull up, you owe it to yourself to get something."

"There is something for everyone at 1928 Cuban Bistro, especially if you don’t mind being a little adventurous. The restaurant is small, very clean and has an outside seating area. It can get busy during the lunch rush, so don’t come if you are on a tight deadline as sandwiches are made to order. If you have a few minutes, you will be treated to a nice lunch.Cuban Sandwich very traditional, but does not have the touch of sweetness I am used to in South Florida.Pan Con Bistec now this is a sandwich, pressed like a Cuban with lettuce, mayo and chimi sauce.Cuban Sloppy Joe just like a sloppy Joe, but without the tomato flavor. This was SENSATIONAL but almost too tall eat. Get this, you will not be disappointed."

"Overall I enjoyed this place, it was really chill, pretty empty (we were there Friday night after 8pm), and the food was good. The waitresses were very lively and quick to serve. My biggest pain points were the ceviche tower, I would have liked the marinade to be just lemon juice, it had a strange aftertaste. My pargo was delicious and my partner enjoyed his shrimp dish."

"First time most definitely the last time!! ?The food wasn't good enough to talk about period! Very disappointing ? Diabetic attack for sure, with the drinks desserts!!Not worth $30 definitely not $62 for 2 plates that we ordered.The only reason they receiving good compliments because of the location their in. With there not being any other soulfood restaurants in that area to even compare the food too. I would have rather spent my money somewhere I would have enjoyed the food, like The Potter's House or even Jazzy's!! I only gave 2 stars because of the seafood dressing, it was the only good item in our opinion the portion size fed 2 per plate!!"

"I ordered the Legumes with Rice and Plantain along with Pickliz. The flavors are 10/10! The portion size compared to the price of the entree is 5/10. It was $2 for the pickliz and it came in one of those small condiment cups (enough to hold 2 table spoons-not an exaggeration). The legumes is advertised as being vegetarian but it isnt. There was definitely meat on the bone in my legumes but I was able to pick around it. Despite that, this is a great restaurant and I would order again. Amazing authentic flavors, especially loved the pickliz, wish there was more!"
