"Wir waren mit dem 2 für 1 Büchlein im Restaurant Schänzli/Ramada.Das Essen war schön auf den Tellern angerichtet und geschmacklich top. Auch die direkte Lage an der Aare machen den Besuch zu einem Highlight. Wenn da nur nicht der schlechte Service gewesen wäre... schade..Der Service war leider mangelhaft und die Motivation der Kellner-/innen nicht spürbar (oder gar vorhanden). Ein "Willkommensgefühl" als Gast kam daher gar nie auf.Aufgrund des mangelhaften Services empfehle ich das Restaurant nicht weiter. Schade ne so tolle Location bei so gutem Essen zu haben und dann ein solcher Seevice dazu. Das passt leider nicht zusammen."

"The sign at the restaurant for the old Stephan announces the year 1038. The time has not stopped, because guests are spoiled in the cozy restaurant of the highest quality. Gourmets like to meet in the restaurant to the Old Stephan in the Zunftstube , but...also in the Gaststube , or by good weather, outside in the garden restaurant on the beautiful Friedhofsplatz. The last Saturday, we had a dinner with you in the „Gaststube“. First, we were surprised with an beautiful amuse bouche and then followed the Zahnderrückenfilet (fish) with mascarpone risotto with spring vegetables on maltaiser sauce. It was an outstanding, wonderful meal. Bravo to the cook Stefan Bader with his 14 Gault Millau points. The great service and attention by the landlady Tamara Bader herself and her team was impressive. . The mixture to the old Stephan is perfect. Culinary delights paired with genuine hospitality in a well maintained, relaxed environment. Thank you for the great food we look forward to the next time! Robert Iris"

"Something alternative, nice and quiet and more of an insider tip. The menu is short and well put together from selected ingredients. In addition to the daily specials, there are also the usual dishes such as Schnippo, falafel, etc. The highlight, however, was the burger. Men/women should definitely bring enough hunger with them. The service is almost a bit overly attentive better that way than the other way around. Another highlight on the menu is certainly the Seedlip Gin, which you won't find everywhere! Unfortunately I forgot to take photos, I'm so sorry the food was just too tasty and I was too hungry. Priced normal moderate, 2 pers. Appetizer, main course drink approx. 50-60CHF per person.
