"This organization is passionate about educating and supporting those of us who are learning about the vegetarian lifestyle. I joined last January, and have been impressed with this dedicated and knowledgeable group. The president, Barbara Mathison, is a dynamo! She can't do enough to help and support anyone who is interested in this way of eating. Her own story is an inspiring one. She is living proof that eating vegan can save your life. The Vegetarian Society of Utah offers monthly educational programs, a monthly potluck, and various presentations throughout the year. They have a comprehensive lending library with many resources available to all. A major BONUS: One of the board members, April Ashcroft, teaches vegan cooking classes at various locations throughout the area. HIGHLY RECOMMEND you check this organization out."
