"I have used this shop on a couple of occasions but not been happy with their products. The pasties and pies seem devoid of taste, yes I know that they are cheap and will fill you but what happened to the flavour? However I have not tried the cakes, which may be wonderful."

"We visited last night for dinner with our friends. Firstly, the inside of the pub has a wonderful old school feel to it that is rare nowadays. Nice open fire going and great atmosphere. For food, we had a sharing platter between four of us...then for main we had the feather blade steak, duck and pork belly. All absolutely fantastic. The service throughout was superb and the wine was well priced. We left at 11 after three hours well fed and well oiled and the bill was more than reasonable for what we had. Really impressed. My only criticism would be the desert. We all had the Black Forest Eton mess and there was far too much cream and little else. It’s a shame as we all said if this was as good as the starter and main it would be up there with the best meals we have ever had. All in all, bravo to the church inn. Fantastic atmosphere, wonderful food and top level service."

"Very pleasant welcome of pradeep, explanation about various interesting decisions on a detailed menu. excellent service and genorous portion. if we live in the opposite, it would be a regular choice, price-performance ratio and so tasty eating based on Indian vegetarian from gujarraat and punjab not a restaurant of this quality in london, drummond road or cambridge would die for a decent like these"

"I took my girlfriend here for Valentine's Day. We had two for 1 on the main course. The voucher explicitly stated that it could not be used on Christmas or New Year's dinner. Despite the fact that I gave them the voucher when we arrived, we were told that they had me via email about the voucher (what they did not have), as it did not with him in honor of Valentine's Day. When we told the person who was at the entrance desk about the voucher, who only claimed that he could not be used at Christmas or New Year events, he simply told us that we cannot use it. Usually I would have gone out at this point and went elsewhere, but since it was Valentine's Day, I wanted to treat my girlfriend and most other places would have been fully booked. We decided to stay here and dinate, obviously not in the best moods. The food itself was perfect although I'm not sure it was worth the £30 per person."
