"I love your location.i have,on several occasions questioned your position on short pouring. Your attitude seems to be ,if you don't like it...too bad. We have been regular patrons every Saturday for months but are growing tired of the I don't care attitude. You need to realize that you are not the only pub I the valley. The last several Saturdays have seen a reduction in customers. Maybe time for you to listen to your customers."

"A very nice mid range restaurant. Food was excellent and they were especially good on gluten free as my wife is Celiac. Which is why we chose it. The service was fine and friendly and food came out promptly. Certainly we would go back when in Courtenay."

"I stopped eating Ceasar salad in restaurants a long time ago. Watery dressing from a bottle, wilted lettuce, no flavour. you know the drill. But at Billy Ds, I asked for it as a side with my veggie burger (dry as they can be but very flavouful) and it was excellent! Thick dressing and full of garlic, real bacon on top, fresh lettuce very crisp. This chef knows their stuff! You must like garlic mind you. You must try it if you're a fan."

"My family stopped here for lunch on our recent visit to Courtenay and I am very glad we did. The restaurant is very cute with a hippie vibe. It has natural wooden booths making you feel almost like you are in a forest. Good prices...with very nice staff. Cute patio area if it wasn't raining. I had the Yellow Submarine sandwich with gluten free rice bread. Vegan and gluten free. It was excellent, the best gluten free bread I have tasted. The restaurant makes in house and sells it if you preorder it. I wish I had known, I would have taken some home. The only thing I didn't like about the sandwich was that the olives were whole and not chopped up. One of my sons had the Chipotle Chicken sandwich and my other son had the Deli Rose. They were both happy with their choices. We all had Smoothies. One Berry Blast and 2 Pina Coladas. They were very good, but tasted like they had protein powder in them. My husband had the soup of the day and a hazelnut latte and was very happy with both. We all had cream cheese pie with strawberries for dessert and it was also excellent. We were very happy that we stopped here for lunch. Would come again if we are in the area."
