Having walked by many places advertising burgers in Paris I began a work week in Saint-germaine-en-laye with a trip to Burger and Co. Let 's start with what Burger and Co. isn 't. This is not an upscale burger restaurant or chain like Red Robin or Fudrucker 's in the U.S. Nor does it resemble fast food chains like McDonalds or Carl 's Jr. Burger and Co. is a small shop with a pretty extraordinary veggie burger. Sorry I didn 't have time to sample the beef burgers but if the veggie burger is any indication, the emphasis here is on quality you can taste. Sound familiar? For those who seek the perfect veggie burger, it can be an exercise in frustration as some restaurants use frozen veggie patties that can taste like cardboard. In others it can end up being just buns and condiments. For veggie burger seekers Burger and Co. is a must-stop place to go if you are in this area of France. No, seriously. You must try this one. I ordered the Le Veg XXL. It was a big, filling burger made of what looked like a homemade patty of hash browns, mushrooms, onion and thinly-sliced zucchini.
