"I had just checked into the Hyatt Regency at about 2 pm, and I was looking for a late lunch that would fill me up just enough until dinner. I noticed Ravi on the Yelp! app, and since it got good reviews and I so rarely see soup places that aren't chains, I decided to go. It was only a block away.Very few people were in the place, which has two dining rooms: an indoor one and an outdoor "garden" dining room in the back. Both were pretty empty.It took me a couple of minutes to decide because everything looked so good. I finally ordered what I think was called Ravi stew. It's a soup with beef, chicken, spinach, sweet potatoes, shitake mushrooms (I think), and a few other vegetables. The counter person told me to take a seat and a waiter would deliver it. I sat outside at a table under an umbrella because it was just barely drizzling.What a treat I was in for! First, the presentation was lovely. The big bowl of soup was brimming with color, and it looked very hearty but not overwhelming. It came with a roll that was cornbread-like and shaped into a sort of baguette. Also accompanying the soup was a small dish of tangy sauce.The soup was delicious, with generous portions of both meat and vegetables. The bread was light and flaky. The soup had a bit of a spicy kick, but a bit of the side sauce tamed that right down.I ate at a leisurely pace to enjoy every spoonful. And after eating, I posted my approval of the restaurant on an app for the conference in town I was attending. Apparently my advice was heeded and others enjoyed Ravi too."

"Visiting from NJ, we arrived at our hotel a couple hours before check-in, so my wife and I decided to wander Toronto and grab some lunch. We picked this establishment at random and were delighted with it. I ordered the shepherd's pie, one of my favorite dishes, and it didn't disappoint. My wife got a sandwich with fries that were delicious. The server was very friendly and gave a great rundown of the various dessert options. If we are ever back in the area would definitely stop in again."

"We randomly walked into Dimmi and found ourselves happy customers. The service was super warm and the food, worth the price. I tried their fig, cream cheese and prosciutto with balsamic vinegar and was impressed instantly. The gnocchi in rosé was creamy, tangy, and delicious."

"It used to be kitch. We were served( loosest meaning of the word) by a woman with rbf. Didn't smile once. Curly fries weren't cooked properly. We were left for so long we figured we were only getting 1 drink. Paid and left. Don't waste your money.In reply to owner .. Tuesday 1st August. Lunchtime."

"It was the second time in a few months we went there for the chicken and Caesar salad! We used to go before Covid, 2 to 3 times a week when I worked at College Yonge. I call it the best Chicken place in Toronto! Unfortunately, new owners have changed the place, staff, service and menu. Both times the chicken was below average and small. In December it was probably Rooster! Both times the salad was devastated and edible pieces were selected and torn up. You should be blind to serve a salad that's terrible."
