"Save your money peeps! I called to ask if they have Prawn Masala with tomatoes, onions and green peppers (not the brown mushy sauce) and they said yes they have what I’m asking for and that there’s is “better” then Dawett’s. So I went ahead and ordered very spicy. First off it’s NOT prawns! They are puny little shrimp and the sauce is exactly what I thought it would be…..NO tomatoes and 2 pieces of green peppers and not extra spicy at all! Very tasteless dish and sauce is soupy. What a joke!I also ordered the lamb curry medium hot spice and again it’s very soupy and not spicy. The lamb is very tough and fatty. Brutal! Never again. Very disappointed! What’s with the soupy dishes?!?Back to Dawett’s I go!"

"Best authentic samosas I’ve ever had in Canada! Food is very reasonably priced for the amount of food you get. Absolutely delicious curries with lots of options for both vegetarians and meat eaters. Highly recommend!Vegetarian options: Great selection of options for vegetarians."

"I recently visited this restaurant prior to a Kelowna Rockets hockey game. I have visited this place occasionally and have always enjoyed the food. The server was friendly, personable, and efficient. I had a dry cough and she brought over a drink of warm water with a lemon slice and ginger even though I hadn't asked. I ordered a paneer (Indian cheese) dish - can't remember which one - with basmati rice and mixed pickles. The sauce was nicely spiced and the vegetables were nicely crisp - not over-done as in many other restaurants. The rice and pickles were also very good. In all a delicious meal that was very well prepared. The Tree Amber Ale was a nice beer to sip on while enjoying the meal. My only quibble was they didn't - or at least in my case - provide complimentary papadum which many other Indian restaurants do. The Dawett can be very busy especially before Rocket games so perhaps a reservation would be a good idea. Service was excellent without being over-bearing and the food was first-rate."

"Got 3 dishes to go Fish Curry, Butter Chicken, Lamb Tikka Masala. Very spicy lamb that gave my taste buds a good workout. The cod curry was in tomato, onion and coconut milk. Very yummy"

"We tried tonight. We were pleasantly surprised. The curries were rich and tasteful and the service was decent. Especially the chicken tikka was too notch. Well marinaded and cooked exactly right. The veggie pakoras were light and well seasoned and all the curries were well presented. We eat a lot of Indian food (in more than some different countries) and that was worth mentioning. In the last two weeks we have tried two other Indian places in Kelowna, looking for a good calibre, authentic restaurant. I'm not going to review them so good from respect for them, but I want to call out if a place is over par. And this is. Definitely recommend the chicken tikka! Thank you and we'll be back."
