"The fact that we went back again to eat here tells the whole story. The first time we ordered paella which the menu said was for 2 to 3 guests. Needless to say, delicious but we only managed to eat 50% of it. It would...have fed 4 easily. The second time we had lasagna and it was delicious. The wine was reasonable and good. The service was excellent. We were glad that we had a fairly long walk back to the hotel, after consuming all that good food."

"(español abajo) unfortunately for these beautiful delicacies, the workers here refused to give us other attention than to keep my partner from making photos of the display cabinets wonderful series of cheese and cold cuts. he spoke in English, provided that we have not understood Spanish. by our look and did not check whether we wanted something (what we did in any case) and then returned to do nothing. one of the other workers seemed happy to clean the display cabinets (clearly to photograph clean) instead of approaching us for help. we waited for up to ten minutes, in which both service men helped two other people who came after us and did not make any eye contact with us. we are beautiful people who smile and do not react badly to public places and should not have attracted this kind of behavior. we will not return, but we really wanted to try their beautiful selection of local and Argentine regional means of living. desafortunadamente para este hermoso sensitivessen, los trabajadores aquí se negaron a prestarnos que no detener a mi compañero de tomar fotos de los gabinetes de visualización maravillosa variedad de quesos y fiambres. habló en inglés asumiendo que no entendimos español por nuestra apariencia y no revisó si queríamos nada (que definitiveamente lo hicimos) y luego volví a hacer nada. uno de los otros trabajadores parecía estar feliz de limpiar los gabinetes de visualización (ob encontrarnos hasta diez minutos. en el que ambos servicios de servicio ayudaron a otras dos personas que entraban después de nosotros y no hicieron contacto con nosotros. conozca a nosotros. personas que sonríe a las personas que sonríen y no reaccionan mal en lugares públicos y no debería habr atraído este tipo de comportamiento. no volveremos fuera de las estrictas y restricciones, siempre que el deseo realmente desea probar sudorantía de comidas locales y argentinas."

"Had a margarita pizza.....not the best Argentine has to offer they use dried basil , tasteless tomatoes, meh crustHowever the bread and dips they bring first are wonderful. Just be aware you do pay for bread that is brought to the table. If you are not going to eat it tell the server to take it away. But really, it is not expensive and the breads were fantastic. Very good value for money and great service."

"Mi viaje a Salta fue bastante efímero (3 días) y con seguridad quería conocer una peña. El mismo día que llegué fui a la calle Balcarce en busca de una y así fue que llegué a Don Oscar. La atención es muy buena y la comida también (lo único, no es super abundante). Comí empanadas, tamales y humita, todo acompañado con vino de la casa. Muy rico todo. El show me pareció excelente, pude ver el final de un cantante (el zurdo Matías) y después shows de baile típico y más cantantes en vivo. El precio no es barato pero es razonable. Me gustó bastante, tanto es así que en mi último noche elegí ir a lo seguro y volví a este lugar que, nuevamente no decepcionó (parrillada para 2, quesillo, etc). Muy recomendable."

"Simple food, wonderfully cooked. This place is small with only a handful of tables which allows them to provide a first class service. The atmosphere is relaxed and casual. We don't speak much Spanish but the owner was extremely amicable and took the time to explain everything to us and we made our choices. The red tuna was cooked to perfection and was melt in the mouth. My partner had the tenderloin which was just beautiful. Unfortunately we didn't have room for desserts as we'd had a late lunch. We both had a glass of the house red and white which were above the level of most house wines you typically find. Fantastic place just a few blocks from the main plaza. Would highly recommend and we hope to visit again before we leave Salta."
