"Came here after arriving in Townsville after a very long and painful day travelling from Adelaide. Arrived at 2.30 and planned to get lunch. Then some stuff went down and long story short. Didn 't head out for food until 8.30. Now anyone from Adelaide will...know trying to get food post 5.30 is horrifically difficult. After looking up reviews, it said longboard was open until 9 I think. I was seated very quickly, place was maybe 60% capacity. Staff were very switched on and knew their roles well. Ordered food and drink together at separate bars. I decided to go for the burger and 1/2 kilo of the longboards own wings. Let 's start with the burger. It Was a burger. Definitely not bad, definitely not trying to be anything other then a old fashioned American burger. I 'd 100% get again for the value and it was cooked well. But it 's a burger... But oh lordy jesus the wings... now speaking as a former competitive eater in the UK, Canada and USA. With various wing challenges attempted and completed. I 'd like to think I 'm a good person to judge. One of my biggest gripes when doing said competitions was bars and restaurants saying "come eat our house wings and beat the record. 5kg of wings in 30 minutes. Only to find it was always just franks hot sauce or masters BBQ sauce. Flavourless trash. Part of me didn 't believe this sauce is made In house I 've been disappointed many times before. It has that distinct American flavour that takes a good years of practice and attempts to get right without being too sweet or bitter or clumpy. But regardless for me these are the best wings I 've had in Australia."

"For a restaurant with Bar Grill in its name they have no steak. It’s more Mexican and deep fried foods. Very disappointed. The food that we ordered tasted just like oil had no flavour."
