"Nice informal place. They have a few solid vegan options. It is a hit with the kids. Not a health-kick, but a nice for the occasional junk food meal. Vegan sandwich waffle is fun and good with real maple syrup. The servings are a little on the small side, but the price is fairly reasonable. Food is ordered and picked up at the counter. 3.5 stars"

"Amazing farmers market! Wonderful vibes! Everything is thoughtfully arranged. The stalls were well stocked with desirable products like lemonade, soba noodles, momo, empanadas. The vendors are friendly. The atmosphere is super chillaxing. There’s even a musician performing for all to enjoy. A must visit!"

"Such a nice peasant market. Quite a lot of bakers, vegetable dealers and other local producers of delicious stuff. Very well organized, everyone was so friendly; it made for a pleasant experience. We picked up some leaks to take home and enjoyed breakfast at the lake in the back. It was great that there was a parking lot and there was no hunting. We did it at 9:00. Those who arrived after us waited longer for the parking lot, but nothing out of control."

"The 26 letters of the English language seem measly when trying to form any sentence adequate enough to express my true love for Allechant. I know that’s an outrageous statement, but everything this place offers—the incredible food, the amazing people and management, the wonderful atmosphere—makes it the best restaurant in Ithaca, bar-none. My partner and I have probably been to Allechant 20+ times in the past two years, and it never disappoints. The brunch menu is full of fantastic staples and seasonal takes, the dinner menu is inventive and substantial, the desserts are to die for, and the serving sizes are perfect (you always feel satisfied, but rarely like you’ve over-eaten . Plus, the coffee and chai are among some of the best we’ve had locally, and the wine selection is solid, too. Plus. (And a big plus here. The workers are INCREDIBLE!!! Seeing Matt and Katie truly brightens our week whenever we come by. Wherever we go, Allechant will always be in our hearts, and we cannot recommend this place enough."

"After a long camping weekend we decided to stop at Ithaca on the way back home. Looking for a good bar in downtown and Red has emerged and we are happy, it did because it was all we needed. Outdoor seating? Good menu? Child-friendly gender-neutral bathroom? Oil It was on a road that was closed for traffic, which was great. Burgers and Tacos were delish and the food was perfect for them. If we're back in Ithaca."
