"Old school family dining. Stopped in here for the first time in years... nothing has changed... thankfully! Huge portions of really really good home cookin'. The Lower Boone's Ferry Benedict starts with a base of tender biscuits.. topped with a hand formed breakfast sausage pattie that covered both biscuits and then some... scrambled eggs and then drown the whole thing in country gravy. Accompanied by a huge portion of grilled red potato's and onion. I'm a big boy... 6'6' and I can eat son. I finished exactly HALF of this monster breakfast!<br/>My sainted mother had the french dip which did not stoop to the usual deli sliced meat... oh no buddy, it was loaded with shredded pot roast! Excellent flavorful real deal beef! She was very impressed! And... I have the other half in my fridge for MY dinner.<br/>My dear father went for the 1/2 turkey sandwich on rye with a cup of homemade, chock full of veggies and beef soup. He didn't have much to say besides... MMmmMMmm...MMmmMMmmmmmm.... then the toppper... his lunch came with a slice of pie. He went for the lemon meringue, his favorite. all i can say is WOW. It was way WAY above average! And the crust was darn near as good as my granny made. Light and flaky, filled with tart/sweet lemon... awesome.<br/>It sure as heck won't be years before we go back. The halibut fish and chips looked fabulous and I do love me some halibut dunked in screaming hot oil! <br/>There is a lot to like about this place... and today anyway, not one single thing to nitpick."

"I've visited a few times now when traveling to the area for work. This would be in regular rotation if I lived there! I've yet to have a beer I didn't think was good. I liked some more than others, but that's more based on my style preferences. Even the ones that didn't suit my palate I can easily say they were still well made.As far as the space, I dig the overall vibe, indoor and outdoor. Last Thursday night's live music featured Sarah Wild, who was so good I now follow her and her band on Spotify! I'm big on being able to focus on the music OR have a conversation at your table and the volume was at the perfect level to do either.Service was friendly, very knowledgeable of the food menu, all their house made beers and wine selection. Finally, the Pub Burger was a top 10 burger: exceptional cooked to perfection, tender, juicy and hot! Looking forward to the next time I'm in town so I can come back!"

"I absolutely felt like family when I walked in and was greeted by the hostess the other night. She was very polite and sat us at our table quickly and I witnessed her helping a elderly customer by getting the door for him and helping with his walker. Whoever the girl is who worked last Friday night with glasses, THANK YOU!"

"We ordered the Fried chicken Mac and cheese from the Waffle Window and it smelled divine. The Fried chicken was phenomenal! I did have to deduct one star because the cheese sauce on the Mac and cheese was a little starchy. The flour in the roux of the cheese sauce needed to be cooked out a little bit more. The chicken was crispy, tender and juicy. I’d be back just for the chicken."

"Love the unique flavors! Some of my favorite creations are Taro with Fruity pebbles, or Raspberry Creamsicle soft serve with marshmallows. Haven't tried a donut stuffed with Ice cream yet."
