"I love the partisan! It’s a great farm to table spot and always has good charcuterie and cheese boards. We came in for a date nights and loved everything minus the baked oysters. They were WAY too bitter. We mentioned it to the server who came back from the kitchen saying it was the “umami” of the dish. Listen, I’ve eaten at Eleven Madison park, mini bar, and many other amazing chefs table michelin star restaurants and not to say the partisan needs to uphold that standard but never have i tasted “umami” in the way of you way too bitter baked oysters. (We literally scooped the oysters out of the shell in an attempt to get them away from the seasoning and breading in the shell) I would change your baked oysters recipe for sure."
