"We choose Grange Farm as a preferred opportunity for our Friday dinner instead of eating locally in the city centre. (Choosing to pay £16 to get you by taxi) Usually we would not have any complaints about the food. My partner ordered the Lamb Shank and for the price of £20 we had the impression that the price-performance ratio did not meet the usual standards of Grange Farm. He had to attack for vegetables because there was hardly anything served with the dish. I went with a traditional gammon and eggs, and I also felt underwhelmed by him (even if it was at least £8 less), as we often had in Greene King Pubs and had better. Needless to say, our waitress Jess was brilliant, bar staff were as attentive as they are usually and how the alcohol flows, the disappointing food does not ruin our night. Perhaps the chef could revise the offer of both dishes!"

"Our first visit to the Red Cow will definitely not be our last. The service was very, very good, prompt, efficient, friendly, and unobtrusive! The food we choose was fantastic, very large portions, perfectly cooked, different combinations, all presented beautifully and piping hot. My pet hate is restaurant food that is served lukewarm. Three of us choose from the set lunch and one from the a la Carte. Our set lunch options were larger than the a la Carte. Despite being full from our first two courses we wanted to taste the sweets and again they were delicious. The price of the three course set lunch was £14.50 which was appropriately pitched for lunchtime dining! My only quibble was that my vegetables were slightly over cooked, but that is down to individual taste. I look forward to my next visit."
