"This is a nice hotel, close to downtown, and most of the staff were very friendly. However, the policy about cleaning the room is terrible. Making the beds, straightening up, and providing new towels should be included EVERY DAY. I asked multiple times throughout my stay for the bed to be made and for fresh towels to be delivered by the cleaning staff. This was met with attitude from the front desk saying that it is not Hilton's policy to do this on a daily basis. This is an extreme decline in service and a hold over from covid policies which are no longer relevant. For such an expensive room rate, I shouldn't have to ask for this service, it should just be done; no questions asked. This review isn't exclusive to the Nashville DoubleTree alone, it is common across all Hilton hotels and it is very frustrating. I like Hilton. I am a Diamond member, and I stay often. I just wish they would change this policy. I really just comes across as laziness on the part of a business trying to reduce operating costs at the expense of their customers. The hotel business is a service industry Ridiculous!Rooms: Clean upon arrivalWalkability: Close to Broadway and many attractions downtown. There is a bit of an up hill hike to get back to the hotel from Broadway, but it isn't too bad."
