"When are you going to Bad Birnbach? If you go to the spa or visit someone or go to a wellness hotel. We visited my mother-in-law at the spa. A beautiful day in September, so the choice fell to a place where you could sit outside. The Swabian court should be because I had read that there were fresh trout. At noon at 12 a.m. – everything was still closed, almost abandoned! But it was open. Inside very rustic and rustic, but in good weather we prefer to sit outside under the huge chestnut. The operation was nice, the rest had gone completely. The menu offers a good selection of Bavarian dishes, only a few more appetizers I would like to have. Price for us Münchner a dream, the most expensive dish 15,80€. And also the beverage prices... A bottle of water 3.80€, non-alcoholic drinks and scorpions for 2.70/2.80€ for 0.5l beer will be available 0.5l for 2.70/2.80€! LEIDER did not give the trout that day, so I had to retire. But all the classics frightened me, at noon I would have been a meat plate too much and none of the others wanted to share it. So I chose an oven potato with shrimp spear for 8.80€. With regard to the other dishes then probably a little expensive. We didn't have to wait for dinner, I was almost too fast. Unfortunately, my salad was dressed (Gurke, Tomate, Kraut, fresh and crisp would have been a bit better for me. The shrimps are very good. (Evtl. a finished TK tip? Potatoes not entirely through – I suspect it is the wrong variety. Here you should actually cook mildly, but it was quite cooking. Sauerrahm was very good, only a pinch of salt was missing. I ate it as far as the potatoes have allowed, because I had no great hunger anyway, but still did not want to wait for a new dish. But I told her as feedback. Unfortunately, there was no reaction. The other dishes were okay and good. Portions pretty big. The service was alone and so gradually other tables were occupied. The waiting time for drinks was then partly a little long. After dinner the trout supplier came and we could look at the implementation. If he had come earlier, I might not have eaten trout anymore. Who wants to see his food in the (living eyes)."

"Am letzten Abend unseres Urlaubs in Bad Birnbach folgten wir der Anregung der Michelin-App und gönnten uns ein Menu auf der schönen Terrasse des Sonnengut-Hotels (für die Hirschstube war das Wetter zu traumhaft). Der Service war freundlich und flott - meist auch aufmerksam und kompetent. Ein Wasserglas wurde prompt samt Inhalt ausgetauscht. Dafür waren Brotkorb, Butter und Saucieren noch nicht abserviert, als wir mit dem Dessert begannen. Wir wählten das Menu zu 49 EUR. Mit kleinen Abstrichen waren wir sehr zufrieden. Einziger Kritikpunkt: Die zum Spargelgericht in einer Sauciere gereichte Hollandaise. Kein Vergleich mit dem Hauch, der den Spargel auf dem Teller umschmeichelte - grieselig wie in heißer Brühe geronnenes Ei - zum Schluss eher körnigem Pudding ähnelnd in dessen Tälern sich flüssige Butter gesammelt hat. Auf unsere frühe Frage antwortete der Service, die Hollandaise stamme von des Meisters Hand und sähe stets so aus. Unsere Bitte beim Abräumen, die Sauciere dem Küchenchef zu zeigen, blieb leider ohne jedes Feedback (wie auch immer es ausgefallen wäre - wenn wir uns geirrt haben, hätten wir gerne etwas dazugelernt). War das wirklich eine fachgerechte Hollandaise? Dann haben uns in 50 Jahren selbst renommierteste Köch(inn)en etwas aufgetischt, das wir geschmeidiges Käsefondue daherkam."

"Once again we had a wonderful time in the sunroom and were pampered around. it was always the feeling that everyone tried to find our best. of gastfreundschaft is not spoken here, here it is lived! meanwhile our time in the hotel is almost as close to coming home and yet it is not boring because there are also new discoveries. above all the offers in and out of the medical wellness center always invite you to try new ones. this has made fun and also attracts infamous leser shadows, as we regularly lie of the lying in aqua company or to muscle relaxation. of course, this pampering program has its price. but even if some medical-Wellnes applications have reached a painful limit for us, the hotel is worth the money."
