"It's an unpretentious small hotel on the beach at the end of the peninsula. Rooms are decent size with comfortable beds, somewhat loud but effective air conditioner. Our room had a balcony with retractable awning overlooking the beach. There's a fridge and flat TV which we didn't use. Bathrooms are ample and clean. The restaurant/bar has outdoor patio and they make great mojitos at reasonable prices, though sometimes with ants. The hotel and wait staff aren't particularly friendly but that's typical socialism style; otherwise they do their job well. The only complaint is that the water in the bay is of the brownish variety unlike the cerulean of the nearby cayos."

"We have just come from paradisus cayo santa maria to home, we were a week on 8-15th april 2022. the hotel was absolutely beautiful, the plots and gardens were immaculate and very well kept, the beach is stunning with soft white sand. each individual staff in the hotel was extremely attentive and hard working. the service was above our expectations. that is our second time in the resort, our first was before the kovid and we would highly recommend this hotel if they want to come to Cuba. the personal of entertainment was amazing, we would like to acknowledge deivi and claudia, who were always sure that we had a great time. our room was modern and very clean, we had the pool right in front of our sliding doors, which was amazing. we had a wonderful stay and look forward to coming back soon."
