"Ate here whilst staying at the ibis Calais Tunnel hotel, which is only approx 10-15 mins walk away. Opens at 6pm, staff were pleasant with reasonable English, you can sit in or take away. Ordered double pepperoni pizza, it was very thin which was good,but really tasted of cheese on toast. Not a lot of pepperoni, so not sure what the regular pepperoni pizza would have been like. Large pizza plus some wedges and small bottle of water, approx 23 euros."

"We were travelling as 2 families (9 of us in total) and stopped off for a late lunch here, after reading some good recommendations about the food. Whilst the choice on the menu is not extensive i.e. approx 4 choices of starter, main and dessert...each, the food is absolutely outstanding and the portions are sufficient even for large appetites. All the food is cooked and prepared fresh and it shows, and although the staff spoke little English, they were very accommodating and we were made to feel comfortable. I would say that the main course I had was one of the best meals I had in a long time, and everyone in our group agreed on the high quality of the food. C'est magnifique!"

"J'y suis allée avec mon copain grâce à des commentaires sur TripAdvisor, et nous n'avons pas été déçus. Très bons conseils, bon vin, bon rapport qualité/prix! La carte offre plusieurs choix, des pastas aux spécialités de la région! Pour ma part j'ai pris une bavette et la cuisson était bonne avec une bonne sauce aux poivres! La crème brûlée, quant à elle, est très bien réussie!"

"I/we have just returned from a quick trip to France and we ate at L'Alexandra, and all I can say is the French are easily pleased. The only person in our group who was happy was my brother who had the Mussels, I had a...veal dish yes, I know it's not politically correct, but I was on holiday and I have never had veal), it was like eating old boots. Another member of the group had poultry kebabs and for the life of her she couldn't make out what the poultry was except that is was reconsituted meat and was bad.The last person had an American hot dog which again was indescribable. As for the waitress, well all I can say is that she must have been bored, because she never seemed to be about, and didn't even bother to ask if we like the food or for that matter if we wanted anything else drinks dessert etc). So if the other reviews are correct then must be another set of staff chef and waiting staff) we didn't see. Definitely give it a miss."

"We dined here on a Saturday night and the service was excellent. The menu was extensive with various moules dishes on offer as a speciality. Lots of locals were dining here which is always a good sign and the atmosphere was perfect. Looking forward to visiting again."
