"This is another little hidden gem! My husband and I along with our dog Harper arrived to a warm welcome and were surprised to find it was not only a restaurant but had a lovely gift shop within the premises and some beautiful art work by local artist. They have an area for customers with dogs which is a great idea and in the other corner we were greeted with a few local musicians playing some traditional music in the background. The food was just delicious as were the side dips to compliment it all. Honestly could have sat here for hours eating, browsing in the bespoke gift shop and people watching as it was so relaxed and friendly. The staff seem to know a lot of their customers which is always a really good sign and we are already hoping to get back to it soon. Well done Love it! So next time you visit Whitehead and after a lovely walk along the front pop in you wont be disappointed."

"I'm not one for complaining and putting stuff up on facebook but im in complete shock and think people should know the way ive been treated, I went into my regular café at home, mauds coastal coffee 12A Victoria Ave Whitehead I went in for my usual Wednesday breakfast with my father and my son, we entered the premises we picked a table and started to settle ourselves down dad went to get a high chair, I lifted jacob who's two and a half years old out of the pram and tried put him into the high chair he took a tantrum kicking the high he wriggled down to the floor and rolled all over it and said big chair, Before I could say to Jacob to calm down Heather the owner come over and said I'm sorry to say your going to have to leave as your making too much noise, I said to heather Jacobs only two I will calm him down she said sorry no just leave I can't believe how we've been treated in this way today we got are stuff together and left"
