"We ate here several times during our stay at the hotel. Very convenient to just go to the restaurant in the hotel instead of by car to Chamonix or Le Praz. Friendly waiters. A little short options on the menu especially for...vegetarian (a dish) and children (no more specific), but they offered to do simple pasta with butter for the girls or half the day menu. Daily three courses for 29 euros, which were all right the nights we had. The restaurant offers some meat dishes and some fish dishes and some local savoie dishes. Good selection of appetizers and desserts. The beef file was very good after one of my daughter. The vegetarian option was not good. The cheese fondue was really good. The raclette was okay, but cheese, potatoes and salad doesn't make dinner after me. Limited selection of wine through glasses. Delicious dessert."

"This buvette/refuge is a 45 minute walk above Le Lavancher and overlooks the Mer de Glace. The food is traditional french mountain food and there is cold draft beer which can be rare on the mountain. It is less frequented than Buvette Floria on the other side of the valley. The service is very good. I'm told there is a 6 bed dormitory if you want to stay the night. The view is spectacular looking down the valley all the way to Les Houches. It is a relatively easy walk up but steep in a few places. The path is in good condition and well sign posted. It is only open in Summer and best to book."

"We had later lunch at Cap Horn during our stay in Chamonix. The day we were there it was not too crowded so we've enjoyed our food and the service was good. It didn't make us though want to come back during our one week stay.I would say also that maybe the prices are a little too high for what it is."

"We went with friends - their first evening in Chamonix. The sunset views of Mont Blanc was magnificent.The food was good - I am vegan and they had a lovely quinoa salad with seaweed and veggies. The wine list is excellent. Service was friendly. would definately go again"

"La floriaz is a short walk right at the chalet that we rented, it said 45 minutes (see us 1 hour upwards and 45 downwards) the walk is steep but steady on a wide stretch. the double reward at the top is a great point of view for. mont blanc and a great little chalet with rich traditional dressing, salat, quiche and more. open a march ish to oktober ish check the opening times. what a great place to get a snack, beer and the beautiful landscape"
