"Let's go. Eating at the Tackle Box is a LOT like a classic Clint Eastwood movie... The good, the bathroom and the Ugly . 1., the GOOD. The food is cooked to order, served hot and fresh, with decent portions, and depending on the days there are meals specialties to have. The spices are near Spot-on and come with lots of spices. The atmosphere is classic country, with pool and video games, and a fully dimensioned bar. I ordered the Boar Burger with Fritten, my wife ordered the French Dip with Fritten, and my son ordered the Fried Gator with Fritten (ALL pictured). We also ordered the Fried Mushrooms as an appetizer. Don't let mince words... the boar was well cooked and HEAVY, and had a light playy taste that was expected. The Gator was perfectly seasoned and slightly chewing...again, expected. The French dip was full of meat and vegetables, and the meat was tender. 2nd, the BAD... for the food. Since everything is prepared to order, we waited and waited... and waited. Each order came in 10 minutes increments that did not belong. For our orders it took a total of 40 minutes. Eating a meal as a family was almost ruined. 3., the UGLY... the lack of enthusiasm by the customer, the cook and the server. Everyone looked like they could or should be somewhere, but there, and the amount of flies in the facility. It is hard to eat when you constantly fly watting from both your drink and meal. This place is 3 stars alone through food, but has plenty of space to improve, especially when ordering out and customer service. Yeah, I understand it's a hole in the wall, but it should be BETTER. I can eat here again, but not with the family."

"I had such a wonderful experience at Dennys because of Sonia. She was very attentive to our table and made sure we were well taken care of the entire time. She made us feel welcomed and invited during our entire time there, will go back and request her as our server every time."

"Love local places like this. The diner is decorated nicely, kinda cowboy country house sort of feel. Got to talk to one of the owners about the menu and how the pulled pork was prepared, great stuff! My two teenage boys had cowboy burgers. They loved em, ate em all up. They looked to me to have a good amount of char, thick pieces of bacon (cut nice to fit on the burger and not dangle out and of course some melted cheese : I love pulled pork, so I went with the wrap. The smoky flavor was balanced nice with their Cole slaw. The pork did not have an overwhelming amount of smoked flavor. Their home made BBQ sauce went on it and paired wonderfully well. Their slaw is not runny which I prefer as well. We all shared a larger order of onion rings and tried all three sauces. Soooo good. Event got some fries in there. They are not real thick, so a good amount of crunch which is what I like! Full on soda fountain and I saw a couple sipping on bottled beer. I had complimentry water. Definately a good place and worth the small drive out of the crowded city, take your kids. Gonna check out Ike's smokehouse in town later for the full smoked meat menu. I heard the ribs were awesome. Go get your grub on!"

"If their dine in food is the same as their door dash food...I will never eat hear. The breakfast burrito I ordered kind of reminded me of something from a fast food joint. Not impressed."

"I don't know how anyone can say the service here is horrible! I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes at a time, even at the peak of the morning rush when everyone is ordering sandwiches along with their coffee drinks. The employees are absolutely some of the kindest, sweetest, and most efficient baristas there are! My absolute favorites are Adriana and Nadia, the dream team of my caffeinated morning! My dog, Eli, goes bananas when we hit the driveway and they always have a treat and a kind word for him! Java Detour on Mangrove is the best coffee house in Chico and blows places like Starbucks and Dutch Bros. right out of the water!"

"The burger I ordered was pretty good and it came with fries. The service was great as well. If I had any complaints it would be the price. But with this g the way they are now I don't blame them. I will definitely go back."
