"Food, beverages and dessert were excellent! We dined on a Wednesday evening, which was to our advantage because it was quiet and service was very good. We have been when they are very busy and the service was agonizingly slow. All in all a wonderful spot for a birthday celebration"

"Don 't be like me the first time I went here. The tablet thing they hand you is the menu, don 't go frantically tapping things thinking you 're ordering. Some of you will laugh, but I know some of you will thank me. Amazing burgers, love the casual atmosphere, minor gripes. First off, realize you get what you pay for. My average burger is over $20, customized. The non customized options are like $15, and for the taste, either option is worth every cent. You get a burger that looks like the picture first of all, and you get a burger that tastes exactly like it looks in the picture. You 're not going to get either of those things from a fast food place. Know all of this going in. This place has become a weekend ritual with me. Nutritionally, I 'm not sure how it weighs against the top 3 fast food chains. But the burgers here are amazing. They cook them to your requested done ness, yet they still maintain a laid back atmosphere. The staff I 've encountered (I 've been visiting for about a year now are polite, down to earth, and not afraid of making suggestions when asked. I haven 't walked away thinking I had a bad burger there, and the one time I wasn 't thrilled with the burger, well, I 'm the one who chose everything (build my burger , so that 's on me. Also, don 't sleep on the water they serve you (and don 't be afraid to ask for it if they don 't give it to you automatically . It was all by itself delicious. Over all 5/5, and the weekend ritual continues! Minor gripes: In humid weather, the table tops become downright sticky. Like 'try to pick up a napkin and pieces of the napkin are still on the table ' sticky. Surely some polyurethane could be applied there. Sometimes it 's hard to subtly get a server 's attention for things like needing a refill on a drink (may be partially my fault, I try to go when it 's not busy . My most awkward gripe is about the manager (sorry, manager! You 're definitely polite but... . If he spots you, he 'll swoop at your table and ask how everything was, surmise that you 've finished the meal, and get you paid and out ASAP. As I 've mentioned, I go there when it 's slow, so I hate feeling rushed out right after finishing a huge wagyu burger. Bro, give me 5 minutes to settle! Anyway, that 's not enough to knock off any stars I 've learned to not act like I 'm finished if he 's in my sight (I never finish all the fries . My only other gripe is that the place I choose to sit seems to have Nickolodeon shows on the tv at all times. Again, no loss of stars and I 'm too afraid to ask for a channel change it makes sense they 'd have the prime corner set up with a kid 's channel. I read from my kindle app instead. If you want something between a fast food place and even the formality of a diner (not a high bar , this place is perfect. It 's fast ish, and still a sit down and order at the table place."

"One of the best authentic ramen I have ever had! Places is pretty small but very quick. If you sit at the bar, you can see how they make your ramen, which I really enjoyed seeing. The ramen is not too salty so you aren?t thirsty after your bowl of ramen.Every ingredient tastes really fresh (peep the empty bowl in my pictures . Pork was so tender and had no funky smell. Noodleswere so good and perfectly cooked. Every bite was very memorable! We had this after our hike at Giant Stairs : FYI you walk inand order with the iPad before sitting down."

"Had an exit in Closter with the Husband and decided to try Patisserie. WOW! It was SOO GOOD! Mary was our server and so sweet! Clean, cheerful. What a GEM! We want to get back to PIZZA!"

"Used to go for the great Nangmyun. The broth was intense and flavorful without having to add any vinegar or mustard. Only place that got Nangmyun right. Haven't gone in awhile and decided to go recently. The older ladies and gentlemen are now gone and replaced by younger new owners that do not know what they are doing. The Nangmyun was terrible with no taste in the broth and portions of the brisket have been cut in half. Will not go back."

"Travel 30 mins to eat here. Have had 2 private functions here. Bar is wonderful, tables there are a little nosier. Food is imaginative and well prepared. The management goes out of their way to ensure a wonderful evening. Have been treated to a complimentary grappa at times."

"Located in Closter, the name of the establishment is derived from the word Schraalenberg, meaning barren mountain or hill during Dutch times. The owner, Ben Pollinger, who won a Michelin star in New York back in 2006, finally opens his own restaurant. Formerly on the site that housed Harvest, this restaurant is our first timer and describes itself as an attractive contemporary rustic farmhouse. From the minute one parks in their private parking lot and walks up to their gorgeous enclosed patio designed for outdoor dining, you will know you made the right choice! It was easy to get a reservation via Open Table, but they asked for a $25 per person deposit in case of no show. Upon entering yesterday, my partner,our friends and I were greeted by the host and whisked to our table in the main dining room. It's one of the rooms with plush blue chairs, striking light wood floors, a glorious cathedral ceiling, and a stunning stone fireplace. They also have a lounge area for additional dining with a bar and a private room upstairs on the next floor. Our server was Chelsea, who took care of all our requests and promptly brought complimentary focaccia bread with olive oil to start our meal. It was so good, we had to ask for seconds. The menu was limited and always changing. For starters, we decided on today's special: Turkish Style Falafel, Salmon Tartare and Sautéed Shrimp Crispy Polenta Cakes. For the main meal, we opted for Today's Special: Moroccan Style Wild Boar Tagine, Short Rib Mac N' Cheese, Slow Cooked Halibut, Roast Duck Breast and Organic Green. We even found a spot for dessert to share and got Chocolate Strawberry Cake and Chocolate Mousse. The food was cooked with fresh ingredients and was tasty and delicious. One suggestion to the Mac N'Cheese and wild boar would be to reduce a notch on the pepper. The staff is very personable. A little on the expensive side, but still great food. We can't wait for a repeat performance, and we can recommend it."
