"After consulting TripAdvisor and Yelp we trusted our gut and selected the Wintergarten located just on the southern end of the central riverfront cluster of establishments. As a result, we had one of the best meals of our week in Northern Europe. My daughter and...I were seated at an open window overlooking the Mosel, and after studying the menu (English version available), we both selected prixe fixe 3-course options. First courses were the warm goat cheese salad (Ziegenkase mit Honig und Thymian uberbacken auf Blattsalaten)—excellent—and a smoked fish with hot Spargel (white asparagus – very good). Main courses were the pork medallions in Riesling sauce (Cochemer Schweine-Medallions), which were expertly prepared. For desert, we shared Apfel Strudel and a chocolate lava-type cake with fresh raspberries. Our server was attentive but unobtrusive, somewhat formal, and very good. The price wasn't cheap: 84 euro with beer only, but we both felt the meal was worth the price. Highly recommended."

"At first I didn't want to eat with my companions, but I was convinced and so I went with them! Unfortunately a big mistake! We start in the service area, the waiters are neither professional nor specialist. the operators, so we also call them not professional and also not friendly. They also have no respect and are very rude with customers. The place looked very beautiful from the inside. Let's go to the kitchen. There's no one out there. The kitchen is miserable! We had fish, meat, pasta dishes, where cream was included. Everything was not edible and it was just disgusting Naja and an older lady had a pizza at the neighboring table that was not through at all, you could see that the pizza was not good. The only thing that cost was my extra salad. Very sad and although it is actually more Italian. For me personally the worst Italian cuisine I've ever tasted. I would write many other things, but that could be a bit of reputation. That's why I think it's me. But a tip for the operators: Maybe they should try it with a quick snack, there it will definitely like to eat. So my accompaniments and I won't come back anywhere, because I eat better everywhere than there!"

"The place has a good view in and out. The lady who took us was really nice and friendly. The food was also very delicious and not so expensive. I think if you are welcome in a restaurant, the food tastes better! Because it's my place to eat in Cochem."

Die Pommes sind super sowie der Spiesbraten, die Hamburger und Saschlik, Die anderen Speisen haben wir nicht probiert aber sahen auch sehr lecker aus. Insgesamt ein tolles Preis-Leistungsverhältnis kein Vergleich mit den vielen Nepplokalen, die die Strassen von Cochem pflastern."
