"We were spending a weekend in Francavilla and I had prebooked this restaurant for Saturday evening because of the excellent reviews on TripAdvisor. The service was a little slow and disorganized at first once we’d been seated it seemed like they’d forgotten about us, and after 10 15 minutes we had to ask for both the wine menu and then for the food menu. The service then picked up and the young man serving us seemed both competent and professional. We ordered the antipasto reale to share a bit disappointing both in terms of quality and quantity.. I can’t say that any of the dishes we tasted really stood out as special. We then ordered a pasta dish each chitarrine allo scoglio quite pleasant, but nothing exceptional. The Sorbet was good, the wine list was quite limited but the wines were honestly priced. The total bill including a bottle of wine for 2 and coffee came to 66 euro. Honestly priced, food was overall fine but I’m not sure if I would return here."

"I begin immediately with compliments to the hostess. a person of a unique kindness. after 8 hours travel to 40 • immediately welcomed us with a bottle of water to head, available throughout. the apartment is very nice and spacious. we stopped only one night, but it has all the services you can want, from air conditioning to coffee machine with waffles, in short a really top place."

"This 'rustica ' traditional Italian restaurant is on the south side of Francavilla al Mare, two blocks from the beach in a less congested area than further north. Nice family-run place, with a 'to-go ' business as well, large tins of food being picked up from the entry as we went to our seats. (Good to Know! We had 15E price-fix menu: Pasta alla ghitarra (fresh spaghetti hand-made on a guitar-style cutter with extremely generous amounts of vongole (mussels and (scoglie clams. An order for 2 fed 4 with a to-go box afterwards! Next fresh gnocche with shrimp: the dish including sauce was excellent. Next lightly fried octopus (calamari , fish (sardellini , and shrimp (scampi . Just the right amount of salt and seasoning. Each dish was too much for us to finish. Wine, water, coffees... we were too full for dessert. 1E cover for bread, which is usual in many places. Total bill 60E, or 15E each. Excellent value. The appetizers going by looked great, with generous proportions and wide variety."
