"We had a singularly bad experience at this restaurant today. So much so that I am compelled to write this negative review, although I don 't write many reviews. We had visited this place last week, and enjoyed the live band, as we are salsa dancers. As we left the owner said 'see you next week. ' Today, we walked to the restaurant all the way from downtown in order to get to the restaurant in time for the band to start. We arrived about 3:45. The owner saw us, and didn 't smile or look friendly in any way. He asked us how many people in our party. We said 2. He then said he had no room for us. Not a waiting list, or a later time. Just simply he was turning us away. He said he had a boat arriving that would have 40 people. I told him we were hot and tired, as we had trouble getting a taxi and so had walked 2 kilometers to get there. I asked if we could possibly sit at the bar. He said no. I saw a couple of bar stools, empty, he said there was no table. I then asked if he could please call us a cab, and he did so, and said it would be there in 10 minutes. As we waited, there was a table at the bar that paid and exited. He didn 't offer us their table. The entire was still was mostly empty when we finally left. I can 't think of any time I have been treated to rudely by a restaurant. No apology. No, I 'm sorry we have a private party (he didn 't say that it was a private party, only there was a boat arriving later). No good explanation, as there appeared to be a room off to the sides and at the bar if the party took over the main space. He could have at least offered a bit of sympathy for our effort, he could have smiled, been a bit welcoming, said sorry it was unfortunate but, etc., and perhaps offered us to have a drink at the bar before we went as the restaurant was almost empty. It really had a negative effect on our day. I couldn 't help but wonder if he didn 't like us for some reason (although we had been quite polite and tipped, etc. the prior week. I wondered if perhaps he didn 't like gringos? I don 't know. It certainly left a sour taste. Of course we will never be back. And although perhaps it was a one off, the owner was quite unpleasant to us, and I do want to share this with others who consider visiting so they don 't encounter the same very bad behavior."

"We actually just came from Cuba and somehow wanted to check out what kind of Cuban Food they create here in Mexico. And we have to say it's great!!! The offer a great variety of different dishes, also vegetarian and gluten free ones and the ones we had tasted amazing. Also the watermelon water and the mojitos are really nice here and we had a delicious lunch here. We can highly recommend this restaurant if you want to have a bit of Cuban flair in Mexico."

"BEST PIZZA ON PLANET EARTH. We stop by ant least 3 times during our weeks stay. Mr Mike came out and said hi to our kiddos, gave them coloring pages etc. Extremely affordable and if you order their Promotion special, you get 2 slices of pizza, 2 garlic knots and a mini coke or water bottle for less than $4USD. When I say it’s made fresh, it’s made FRESH as soon as you order so don’t mind the wait, it’ll be worth it."

"I drove by this place every day for a week before I gave it a try. It's a local place on a corner and it looks really authentic. And it is. First, the smell draws you in. As they cook/grill the pork and chicken, the smell is like an incredible backyard BBQ. It permeates the neighborhood as the smoke billows in the air. We elected to try a half kg of the pork for my wife and me. I stink at math and forgot that that's more than a pound of meat for the two of us, but we managed. It came with tortillas, rice, and beans, and then a number of ways to sauce it up. That was all nice, but my favorite way to enjoy the food was to pick up pieces and just eat them without anything on them. It's just that good. And as for the wait staff, they were incredibly helpful, working their way through my broken (really broken) Spanish so that we got what we wanted. They checked on us continually throughout the meal, so any comments about rude staff must have this place confused with somewhere else. They seemed to do a ton of takeout and delivery. There were stacks of filled to-go containers at the counter and the delivery guys were really busy. Try it. It's amazing."

"Beautiful meal, with beautiful music near the beach. The staff is friendly, the food is good at a reasonable price. Cocktails are a little more expensive, but really well done. Had the baked fish fillet."
