"Wir waren dort gegen 13:30 Uhr mit mehreren Personen, um zu Mittag zu essen. Wir bestellten u. a. unterschiedliche Suppen. Die männliche nicht gerade freundliche Bedienung gab an, dass alle Suppen ausverkauft seien. Stattdessen bestellten wir einen Strammen Max. Nach da. 15 Minuten kam die Bedienung, um mitzuteilen, dass es auch keinen Strammen Max mehr gebe, da alle Eier verbraucht seien. Bei zwei dann bestellten Gerichten wäre Brot dabei gewesen. Dieses wurde nicht mit dem Essen gebracht. Auf Nachfrage bei der Bedienung brachte er dann 20 Minuten später einen Brotkorb mit zwei Scheiben Brot und dem genervten Kommentar: "Brauchen Sie das noch?" Einfach nur unmöglich. Unabhängig von dem teilweise guten anderen Gerichten war diese Bedienung eine absolute Katastrophe. Das Restaurant wird von uns mit Sicherheit nie mehr wieder besucht werden."

"Our last night in Karlstadt. With our friendly couple, we agreed at the restaurant of the Hotel Mainpromenade, just like seven years ago. In my earlier criticism I described the very pleasant ambience of the hotel and above all the restaurant's outdoor restaurants: idyllic, directly on the main bank with views of Karlsburg, small, hotel beer garden and spacious terrace, shaded by ancient and powerful trees. Our friends have reserved at high summer temperatures on this 24th. August a four table on the terrace. Hotel Mainpromenade – Terrasse I Hotel Mainpromenade – Terrasse II Two ladies serve us the evening. They make their job largely routined, and they are kind. They ask for our satisfaction and are attentive to the clearing of empty dishes and reorders. However, one of the ladies confuses the ordered beef roast with the also ordered deer roast and insists on demand in their view of things. The supplements, however, give us an opposite view, which is underpinned when the meat is consumed. This gives a point drop, but four stars still remain for the otherwise error-free service. One of the ladies gave us the menus. The menu offers, like seven years ago, vegetarian dishes, steak, carving, fish and wild dishes, soups and salads in various variations and seasonal dishes in the season menu. Despite high summer temperatures, we choose all “autumn/winter dishes”. My dearest and our friend choose – beef cakes in strong red wine sauce, fried napkin dishes and green beans €21.90, where the original supplements to the beef bags, namely potato risotto and glazed carrots, are exchanged for the above supplements after consultation with the kitchen. Our friend wishes – beef roasts in strong red wine sauce, fresh mushrooms, homemade late zle and salad €16.90, and I choose – beef roasts from domestic hunting with mushrooms in red wine sauce, homemade late zle and apple red cabbage €20.50. We start with – Bad Brückenauer Wasser “Gourmet” 0,75 l to 4,60 € – Bright, Duke of Franken 0.4 l to 3,60 € – Mohrle – Yeast wheat with Cola 0.4 l to 4,30 €. During the evening, some wines and other mineral water – Riesling, Bürgerspital Würzburg, 2018, dry, mature, soft in taste, balanced acidity, The euphemistically described and expectations of Arnsteiner Wasser, however, turns out to be an ordinary table water. In the following, the courts of our friends are only judged on the basis of their comments. There is no greeting from the kitchen, quite quickly the main dishes come after our order. Grape cakes in strong red wine sauce, fried napkin dishes and green beans The ladies are completely satisfied with their choice. The beef bags are so delicate that they can be easily divided with the fork. You taste the long season in the perfectly matched, spicy red wine sauce. The napkin panes are fried crispy, but soft and fluffy inside. The green beans are well seasoned and taste very good. Deer roast from local hunting with mushrooms in red wine sauce, homemade latency and apple red cabbage The hot roast is very well prepared, soft, no bit tough. The red wine sauce with mushrooms cannot deny its vinophilic origin and fits perfectly with the wild dish. The apple cabbage has the slightly acidic taste I prefer. The Spätzle are perfectly cooked, with the red wine sauce they taste excellent. Beef roast in strong red wine sauce, fresh mushrooms, homemade late zle salad to beef roast Our friend is very happy with his beef roast and the side salad. A good meal requires a degree. My friend and I can go with a Karlstädter – Zwetschgenbrand from Kraft from Mühlbach 2 cl to 3,50 € , and our friend will enjoy a – Cappucchino 3,30 € . The ladies' toilet is well maintained and clean, as my dearest tells. We consider the price/performance ratio to be good in view of the good preparation of foods and the substantially favorable beverage prices. In contrast to the assessment of seven years ago, we see an improvement in the conclusion. The service is not yet 100% round, but the performance of the kitchen convinces. We stay with our former recommendation: a visit to the restaurant of the Hotel Mainpromenade is worthwhile."

"Again very hot in Karlstadt on this 12. August – 33 degrees. A visit to the castle park of Veitshöchheim and a boat tour from there to Würzburg have preferred the sweating cycling and hiking around Karlstadt. The air-conditioned transport train will take us from Würzburg to Karlstadt – and now we'll go over the main road to get a seat under the umbrellas of the numerous restaurants. We manage to land at the Fehmelbauer. The Ambiente Zum Fehmelbauer invites you to stay in Karlstadter Hauptstraße 22 in a multi-storey, stylishly renovated half-timbered house. The ocher-colored compartments are in a pleasant contrast to the brown painted beams in the framework. A maidonna and a nasal sign decorate the front of the inn. In front of the house guests in the pedestrian zone are served under parasols. You sit on beer garden tables and on chairs with seat cushions. The furnishing appears more noble than the beer garden usual. We can only judge the atmosphere from outside. We haven't been in the guest room. As with other restaurants in the main street, which we only met from outside gastronomy, we value three and a half stars. The service A friendly lady quickly takes note of us after we have set ourselves and takes the first drinks: mineral water (1.90 € of the quarterliter) and land beer (2.80 € of half liter). She'll serve us all night. She's doing a good job. Nevertheless, we need to make marks when evaluating the service. Operation takes up our food order by about 20:30 h, while a young man already depends on slate boards with daily offers on the house wall. We make the kitchen right now, fast, our lady comments quickly. It's too hot in the kitchen. Also for other waiting guests, hoppladihopp will pick up the order. The kitchen time, however, usually ends only about an hour later. Finally, the preferred kitchen closure leads to the fact that my plate is removed from another operating force without comment, although I still consume the remaining supplemental salad. I guess you want to wash the dishes quickly. If we had rated the service with four stars without the Fauxpas, it is now only three – with all the understanding of the heat-plasted kitchen team. Food Franconian food in all kinds of variations are offered. In addition, the map lists Vegetarians, Steaks, Schnitzel, Filets vom Schwein und Salate in several variations. If you like to eat fish, don't go empty. Seasonal is usually found on the daily ticket. Everything is at the price level for Karlstadt. My wife and I choose – Zanderfilet grilled with fresh pawlings on fetucchine and salad to €15.80 each. The first thirst is erased, my wife lets water be and goes to the Karschter Flaak Silvaner, dry (3rd € of the five-wire). It is served quickly and well-tempered. Little later, the serviceman will bring us the salad. Leaf salads, marinated carrots, raw carrots, radish slices, corn and rocket are made with a yogurt dressing and crowned by a few drops of Aceto Balsamico. The salad is crunchy and fresh, the dressing and a subsequent pinch of salt and pepper give the appropriate seasoning. We don't wait long for our main foods. Three neat zander fillets, mottled and baked on the skin, framed by a good portion of delicate brown fried pifferlings, cover the Fetucchine noodle bed. The Zander is beautifully crispy outside, juicy inside and very tasteful. The fetucchines are swung in parsley butter and taste very good. To season both fish and noodles we add some salt and pepper. The food has tasted, another Karschter Flaak Silvaner, dry for my better half and a pils of the barrel (2.60 € for 0.4 l) for me form the end of the evening with a digestive snack, a pussy fire (2. € for 2 cl). The food is tasty and professionally prepared. We have nothing to put out and therefore forgive four stars and the note good. Whether this also applies to the guest room and the toilets, we cannot judge because we were not there. With these limitations four stars and a good for cleanliness. The price performance ratio We take the service and food as the main factors for assessing the price performance ratio, so we settle the fehmelbauer in this category at three and a half stars, i.e. between o.k. and well. The conclusion of the locals has advised us to visit the fehmel farmer. When we go, we know why. We eat well and are very satisfied. We recommend Zum Fehmelbauer and rate a total of three and a half stars with a strong tendency to four stars."

"A hot day is Monday in Karlstadt. After a hike around the Karlstädter Schlossberg in Toms Eismanufaktur we cooled down, then cooled down and on Monday evening on the Pirsch, after a restaurant kitten in Karlstädter Hauptstraße. It is like bewitched – some of the restaurants are closed, Monday is rest day. We always stand in front of closed doors so you can suspect a plot. And the few restaurants that have opened are occupied to the last place. “Let us go from the main road towards the railway station,” I say to my wife without plan. A children's tour leads us through angled alleys, and suddenly we see cheerful people at garden tables that empty their plates in the park. We landed in the Jahnstraße, which meets the new station. The corner building is the hotel railway with a Maldives chef and international dishes. On the other side of the Jahnstraße opposite the hotel side, a park-like complex spreads out, in the middle of the hotel's beer garden. We see free tables, we ask a young servicing woman if something is still free for two people. She has to settle this, she tells us, and after some time she comes to smile and points to a second table where we could sit. Finally we sit and also in a pleasant park ambience with shaded trees. Two young ladies work in service. You have a lot to do, which is why the obvious boss is helping. The ladies are very friendly, ask the usual questions about the satisfaction of the guest. However, the service paralyzes something that will be forgiven for the numerous guests. Not so easy to forgive, however, is a patzer I noticed late in my main dish. Instead of the vegetarian variant, I get the chicken variant. We start with an aperitif, a kind of self-reward, because we want to enjoy the stay now after we were on the Pirsch for so long. Two • Limoncello splashers (each 5,50 € should be a start. Thanks to ice cubes, the limoncelli are well cooled and splashy. A service woman counts us on demand the ingredients: Limoncello, mint, prosecco, mineral water and ice cubes. “Lecker dat”, says the Rhineland. The service ladies let us have time for the aperitif what comes to us because we study the menu with steak dishes, Maldives Curries, salad dishes and burgers. Finally one of the young ladies • Muguriha (vegetarian lentil curry, lentils and vegetables cooked in coconut milk sauce and Maldives spices, with rice, Raita (Yoghurt-dip and Papadam (thin fried flakes, 12,80 € for my sweetness and • Quesadilla (Tortilla filled with cheese, gedunsted onions and vegetables) The Quesadilla is offered in “small” and “big” and in the variants “vegetaric”, “with chicken strips”, “with cattle strips” or “with shrimps”, the Muguriha “vegetaric”, “with shrimps” or “with salmon”. Our liquid level wants my wife with a • Silvaner, dry, from viticulture Frank, Karlstädter Rossenal (0.25 l to 4.80 € and I with a • Martinus from the bottle, bright (0.5 l to 4.10 €). Later my wife tries the • Domina, dry, a red also from Weinberg Frank, Karlstädter Rossenal (0.2 l to 4.80 €). Martinus from the bottle, bright wine and beer come quickly and appropriately cooled. Ahh! Now we wait for a while, the young ladies wear plates from the kitchen on the other side of the road. And finally we're on the line. Muguriha Muguriha – Additions The curry lenses are served in a small soup bowl, the supplements on a flat black plate. The curry is unfortunately little seasoned, the lenses and the vegetables are covered so that the individual components are barely recognizable: tomato pieces, the appearance of peas and carrots. My wife has not taken the ingredients of the curry any closer, as the dish has only lukewarmly come to the table and has eaten them faster. The Papadams know my treasure and the Raita. She promised more spices from her farm as a whole and is therefore a little disappointed. Quesadilla My Quesadilla is well filled with a vegetable mix. Guacamole, tomato sauce and sour cream taste good. I have eaten a while without taking the inside of the tortilla bags closer under the magnifying glass and firmly convinced to eat vegetarians. No trace of meat taste. But suddenly I noticed chicken meat taste. “In there is chicken,” I say to my wife when I have eaten almost three of the bags. The chicken strips that I have ordered are obviously very unequally distributed. I think I should ask for replacement, but because of my almost silent appetite and eat the chicken stripe variant, which also sounds good for me. This variant is also worth €15.50 on the invoice. In retrospect, I would have better pointed to the interchangeable court so that the mistake of the kitchen and the serviceman becomes aware. I am not a militant vegan now, I also like to eat meat, but “vegetarian ordered” also means “vegetarian delivered”, even if the chicken quesadilla tastes me well. That's why: a clear drop. While my wife tries the “Domina”, my “plenus venter” requires a stamina, a fruit brand (2 cl for 2,80 €, which is served uncooled but aroma-enveloping. There's nothing to complain about cleanliness. We haven't visited the toilets. The prices for food and drinks seem to be reasonable and local. However, the incorrectly operated Quesadilla variant impairs the price-performance ratio in kitchen and service. We would give the Hotel Bahn another chance. Bugs happen now, and the servicemen had all hands to do."
