"During a recent visit to Donegal, we visited the Glenveagh Tearooms, after we had just completed a walk from the interpretative centre to there and then onto the Waterfall and back (appox. 10 Km). We had a beautiful and well-earned lunch. The food was freshly prepared and served by wonderful staff. Although it was busy and had a long queue the wait was well worth while."

"I forget that this Coffee shop/ restaurant is in the middle of the Letterkenny Town Park also known as the Bernard Mc Glinchey town park. The park is opposite Letterkenny University Hospital. It is in the old church in the grounds of St Conals Physciatiric Hospital across the road from the Letterkenny University Hospital. You may be in Letterkenny or visiting someone in either hospital or the Rehabilitation unit and find yourself looking for a cup of coffee or lunch outside of a hospital environment. Some times known as the Vestery or the Poppyseed restaurant it is a little Oasis in the middle of the town. They have retained the old church interior and you have lots of seating with tables unlike a real church. The menu is lunchtime type but that is ok too and it closes around 5 I believe unlike other restaurants. There is lots of food to choose from and I just opted for An Americano coffee and a scone and my wife Tea and yogurt as she didn 't like the Gluten Free options available. The place is nice and warm and with the high ceilings airy and bright. It is never too busy and has a good passing trade from the hospital and the park. Highchairs etc for children are provided and tables are set up on a small area outside in the Summer Time. The staff are pleasant and helpful with menu choices and service is brisk. The prices are very reasonable too. I may return for lunch some other day I am in the area. All in all a delightful place to visit in Letterkenny"
