"Everything's right here. The food is excellent (real dishes without compromise), visually appealing, the operators friendly, the drinks good and the price appropriate. In summary, a great place for big or small hunger, which also offers good cakes in the afternoon. The place is easy to find - easy follow signs Benjental. Parking is sufficient. The facility is appealing and friendly. The audience is mixed-very many hikers. We have sprouts, hunter carvings, wine-growing dish (Bratwurst, Leberknödel, Saumagen, Kraut) muzzles as well as peeled meat bowls with horseradish and Grumbeere. Conclusion: recommended at any time."

"We came across this place because where we wanted to go was closed for holidays. A lovely little find, very friendly staff, sussed out I was English (can't think how) and gave very good service. The steak was cooked perfectly - red but not bloody and the Quark with the Jacket potato went very well. The menu was not very big which for me is a very good sign it's not boil in the bag. The wine as you would expect was lovely and the recommendation of the Rose was well liked by my wife. All in all a really nice homely place to eat with a bit of a rustic feel to it."

"Every year for about 2 weeks I go to the new town to visit family. And every year I'm there, I'm going to the Mohre Jule for the most beautiful Palatinate dishes. Not only the food is excellent, but the interior is so cozy and rustic. The same family has managed this place since 1592 or a ridiculous date a long time ago and it shows."

"Wir waren zur Mittagszeit an einem Donnerstag hier. Der Weg vom Parkplatz dauert ca. 20min zu Fuß. Die Aussicht ist Klasse. Das Essen - wir hatten das Berghaus Schnitzel - war sehr gut und lecker!Auf den Terrassen ist Selbstbedienung, das Essen wird nach Bestellung im Restaurant zum Tisch gebracht.Das Personal ist freundlich und wir kommen gerne wieder."

"Der Inhaber ist wirklich ein bisschen kauzig, das liegt aber meistens an dem Gast. Wasser für drei Euro ist möglicherweise korrekt, allerdings sind die Preise für Rumsteak wirklich nicht zu übertreffen. In der ganzen Region gibt es definitiv kein besseres. Dagegen er wartet der Inhaber schon, dass man in einer Weinstube auch Wein verzehrt. Also für mal schnell was zu essen mit Apfelschorle nicht zu empfehlen. Eher gemütlich etwas länger und ein Paar Gläser Wein dazu"
