"We haven't been here for years however we visited twice last week all the staff wear 1950's style clothing they even have retro fridges and microwaves in the open kitchen area, all food is yummy and homemade, try the quiches they are lovely and the coconut tart is simply delicious, a special note for the friendliness of all of the staff they really go out of their way to make you feel at home, we would highly recommend this place for a good quality well priced meal or coffee and cake. Keep up the good work girls, we will be back soon for more scrummy food."

"I have been eating here for twenty seven years , the food is fresh and well cooked ,the owners will advise on any dietary needs , I go to slimming world and still eat out here I must admit I absolutely love the lamb ,...over the years I must have tried almost everything on the menu and nothing has disappointed . it's a great restaurant for couples or large groups"

"We used to be regulars here about 45 years ago with its comfy red sofas and great steaks. Visited today Friday 16th Feb 2024 for lunch. Great menu, the food was good apart from the mushy peas being very stodgy and not very mushy. prices were ok. Service was good. Will be back"

"This little lock-side cafe is a gem! Beautiful location, all seating is outside but has a little veranda by the canal in a beautiful setting, so quaint and perfect for a gentle walk. Plus all food and drink is brilliantly priced to say where it is located."

"Great time had at the Halloween event and pumpkin picking. A few things were a little expensive for what they're worth is the big tent. Not worth £12 on the day for adults as it's really for kids. The pumpkin area was amazing, very well worth it and the fair was reasonable. There's only three fast food stalls so queues can build up, a better selection would've been nice, ie, maybe a chinese/Indian stall rather than just burger/hot dog and chicken nuggets. It was a thoroughly good day and definitely worth a trip, even in the rain"

"A small tea room where we enjoyed a traditional afternoon tea. a beautiful fresh selection of delicious mixed sandwiches with salat garnish even coleslaw and tortilla chips on the side. great cakes and homemade obscenes with jam and saw. good supply with tea/coffee and milk! it cannot fail and certainly worth money....my mother loved her birthday contract. many thanks for ladies x"
