"I knew going in that this was going to be a little more than I typically spend on a meal out, but found the dishes to be well worth the higher pricing. It's not often I eat with the kitchen directly in front of my table, but was pleased with how friendly and accommodating the staff have been. The points on the online menu suddenly dropped from 48 to 32 with no explanation or purchase? Other than that though, excellent experience all-round!"

"Better hole Fyne restaurants to find there. in short, not as good as those in bath. When I went there, the garnels were overcooked and slightly muddy. the aromen were interesting and the food presentation could have been better. also the toilets are steep steps down, and when I left, there was a regrettable odour in the corridor that no one hastened to clean up. if you look at the price of food in comparison to value, it is a scandal. not indicatiw for other hole fine restaurants."

"The food served don’t deserve 2 Michelin stars, I was so excited to be dining here for lunch. After dining at many one star restaurants my imagination was going wild at what we’d be served. The hors d’ oeuvres were underwhelming, one was a jelly sweet smothered in sugar! The bread was cold and was not fresh at all. The fish course was served on some sort of crust, this tasted stale. The fish itself did not of the texture of fish and was tasteless. As the dishes were brought out the more disappointed we became. Not one dish had a flavour explosion or brought any happiness. Not one dish seemed complete and everyone lacked something. As for the candy floss dessert, i tried, it failed not worth the calories. We paid the £440 bill for 2 and left speechless and hungry. Giving this restaurant 2 Michelin stars is a license to print money. If you’d like a Michelin experience half the price try Adams, Upstairs or even Simpsons in the midlands."

"I was a bit reluctant about going to La Capanna, after reading the negative reviews, but my son really wanted to take me there, as he likes the atmosphere and the owner, who is the father of one of his best friends. Well, I don't regret trying this place. The restaurant was full, which is a good sign in this economic climate, and the ambiance was certainly something you don't often get elsewhere. The mains were delicious, however the starters were a bit bland and the desserts were a big disappointment, hence the 4 stars... the tiramisu tasted like water! As for the owner, well, he's a comedian... an Italian Louis de Funes!"
