"We did the Vertical Tasting $150) Saturday, and it was a cool way to try all the years of Napa Valley Cab. It was interesting just how different each year is obviously) as you could taste them side by side. I would recommend the experience.Ambiance not many people were outside, it was high 60's and cloudy but sunny. There are lots of tables outside, so I can imagine it must be bumping on a nice warm day. On this visit in Feb there were many people were inside by the bar just ordering glasses. This is unique to Silver Oak, as a lot of the wineries in the area are reservation only and tastings only all depends on the permit types. The iconic water tour on the bottles was built out front slight resemblance though not replica, is an unused structure today.Interior there is the family's private collection which has some seriously cool bottles that nobody visiting will get to try. ;)Staff was all very nice and knowledgeable, as you'd expect. Greg was our host and was delightful. We didn't get a tour or much info on the property, not sure if that's offered here but it's not part of the vertical tasting. Our glasses were already poured when we arrived so it felt a little commercial.Would I return? Likely between appointments, but not as a destination unless people I was with requested it). Wines are big, old, and dry. While delicious, they are not exactly what my palate prefers, so I'll save it for those that appreciate the notes more than me."
