"We sat in the pool room and half the time we had que sticks in our faces. We know it is a hotel restaurant, but didn't expect this kind of conditions to sit in. food was just OK."

"All the good reviews might be more about the location than the food. Reds sits right on the dock at the Point Pleasant/ Manasquan inlet. Your table might look out over their lobster boat. The location and setting is pretty near a perfect 10. From the food stand point; The lobster roll (hot) was dried out like it had sat under a heat lamp way to long. Clams were over priced and very sandy. Again you expect some grit with clams on the half shell but not mouths full. Service was slow, prices were high. The whole lobster was very expensive but a bit more tasty than the dried out lobster roll If you want the views, sea gulls and great feel of being on the water, Reds is perfect. If you want a great sea food meal I have to rate Reds average or below."

"This restaurant is too pricey for the value. While the food was decent. The main course would be enhanced with larger side portion such as rice, vege or potatoes. No bread or salad? Why not put out some bread sticks. Something that goes with this type of price. It is an attractive BYOB setting but for the price there are better choices."

"The banquet room was a nice space for a wedding reception. However, the cocktail hour was in a small room with a low ceiling, very crowded and uncomfortable. Food was hit or miss; some delicious items, some mediocre. Great bartenders and servers."

"I came here a few months ago on the recommendation of one of my coworkers, and for a rather small restaurant it sure has a lot going on. I quite liked its rustic seaside atmosphere, something I am always down with. It had a quaint feel to it that I appreciated. The table I sat at was in kind of an awkward location but seeing how I was dining alone that night, I managed. I was served by Grace that night, she was very attentive and courteous, overall very good service especially seeing how lively and packed the house was that evening. I had a Guinness that night and I started with the Cod Fingers, which was a first for me. As someone who enjoys fish, I appreciated trying something new. My main course was the White Wine Cheddar Cheese Burger; A bit on the messy side with all the onions they pack into it but it was certainly a filling and hearty meal, one I really needed that night. I had to satisfy my curiosity on this place as it came highly recommended by my colleague and it definitely allowed me to relax a bit. I would absolutely like to give The Ark another go soon to sample more of their selection. Looking forward to another burger here in the near future!"

"Always love hitting surf taco when we are in Point Pleasant. Updated interior looked great. Our order taker maybe was having an off day and a little rude. Other staff were very friendly and our tacos/burrito were delicious as always!"

"First of all the Shrimp box is located in the commercial fishing docking area. It brings the shore experience almost to the table. There is both inside and outside dinning. The staff is excellent. The young waiters, bus staff et all were very good The menu was expansive with a dedication to seafood. The food was excellent and the pricing reasonable I give it 5 stars"
