"Service was good and friendly menu offers a mix between local dishes and some classic dishes. it s great that they work together with some local farmers for starters we took a mixed plate with specialties, and this was ok. Mains : lamb (smoked at the resto) was good , fish was a bit tasteless and didn't justify the price asked for it. we took some local wines at an honest rate . seating was basic, hard chairs, and because of two family tables close to us, it was impossible to understand each other (bad acoustics) overall ok experience, nothing earth shattering though."

"The Hostellerie du Chateau has a nice terrace across the street offering food and drinks but the results are somewhat disappointing. Service is poor and disorganised and if the place is busy then guests wanting to eat may have to wait while tables are occupied...by guests lingering over a coffee or a bottle of mineral water. Ice is apparently rationed and if you order some rose no ice buckets appear to be available so the wine can not be enjoyed at the right temperature.!! The food menu is somewhat limited and both the steak tartare and the risotto are quite ordinary in fact. There are some 4+ waiters plus somebody preparing the drinks but for some reason sections of the restaurant have not been allocated to individual waiters resulting in disorganisation and general indifferent service. Basically the whole opportunity is being wasted and we will not be returning other than perhaps for a drink. The terrace is well protected from the sun with multiple large parasols , however there is a good place to get ice creams just down the street.!!"

"This is a small place, a shop front hiding behind the traffic lights. It doesn't have a huge range of flavours, about 12 or so, but they are all worth trying. There is no seating, but that's fine because the lake is a 50m walk past the castle. This is one of my favorite fine weather stops around the lake! Nothing beats a Gelato in hot weather when you can sit back and eat in looking out over the lake to the Alps."
