"We booked a room as having dinner at nearby Rocksalt restaurant. The staff at The Ship coukd not have been more wcoming and accommodating. Lovely, clean, fresh, bright twin room overlooking the harbour. Very good value for money. Highly recommend."

"I decided to visit this takeaway whilst on holiday am so pleased that I did, I ordered a king prawn curry with egg fried rice from the friendly lady at the counter, I had my credit card in my hand to pay as that's what most places prefer you to use these days, but was told cash only paid via a jug that you put the money in are given your change in the same way, they are seriously following Covid 19 guidelines. I took a seat taking in all those lovely aromas in the air, and in no time at all my meal was brought out to me from a very friendly looking man, when I got back to my accommodation after a short drive, the meal was absolutely delicious, the rice was light airy, the curry sauce was so thick unlike most places these days where many resemble water with no real flavour, plus the amount of prawns was astounding as I normally get 4 or 5 the rest is alive with onion, but not this one as I must of had 9 or even 10 of them all full of flavour, with only 2 small pieces of onion, an unbelievably tasty meal for the price paid only wish it were my local Chinese takeaway, the local people are SO lucky that live nearby, thank you so much!!"

"Ate here on a whim, hadn't seen it before and decided to try it as I wanted a milkshake. Ended up having the home-made lemonade which was really good. Food was excellent, I had the bacon sandwich, it was a club-style sandwich made up of a bacon sandwich in the first half and a ham sandwich in the top half. Lovely. My wife had the diablo cheese thingy. I wasn't a fan of the chocolate dipping sauce that came with it but she loved it."

"We stayed at the hotel so though we would try the restaurant, we were a group of 8. The menu initially looked quite good....then our food came out, 3 meals had to be sent back, as were undercooked/overcooked. Whilst the staff were helpful and money was taken of our bill, it was poor food for the price you pay. I wouldn’t eat here again."
