"We stopped here for lunch after leaving New Orleans. BLT’s and a side salad were a perfect lunch after all the fancy and heavy dining we’d enjoyed in N.O. Nice menu and very pleasant staff. Highly recommended."

"Great food, many options on the menu the staff were wonderful. They accommodated our large party, with a nice room in the back that had a view of the harbor. When the check came, the owner came out and spoke with us personally. Very friendly and personable. Highly recommended for the food, atmosphere all around kind staff."

"Great food. They were outside. We have the Gator bites, chicken parm, phenomenal shrimp tacos and seafood pasta. Everything was delicious. The server was very friendly and made delicious drinks. We'll be back. We are not yet disappointed by service, food or drinks."

"We were having a birthday celebration with 17 people in our party. Our party had started arriving at 5:00 pm but were told the WHOLE party had to be present. They do not do reservations! At 5:30 PM all but one person was there. I went to tell the hostess the last person was getting off the interstate, so less then 5 minutes away. I was told they had another party that had JUST arrived with 9 people so they didn't have room for us and we would have to wait. They had the table set for us 17, pulled it apart for 9 people! Also giving the hostess positions to a immature teenager is not in your best interest. You lost a lot of business with the decision your employees made not only tonight but any future business for 10 adults and the bad reviews from word of mouth. Maybe this will not effect your bottom line but I feel it needed to be shared!"

"Had a delicious lunch at Vera's Seafood on Valentine's Day. Parking is easy to find and sitting on a table was immediately. They offered affordable lunch specialties in the selection $10-$12 as well as their regular menu items. We started with an appetizer from Spinach and Crab Di. The serving size was large (top for 3 people easy). It comes with bright and fluffy grilled bread. My only complaint is that it is NOT enough to eat bread with the whole dish! We asked more bread and got it much later when we ate our meals. I ordered the black shrimp tacos! These shrimps are DIVINE! It was two FULLY LOADED with shrimp Tacos!! They use a spicy sauce above... I had asked the waitress if it was very spicy and she said no... now it was extremely spicy for me. I wiped everything! They used purple cabbage with the shrimp tacos instead of salad. I would marinate the cabbage so it would offer some taste and be a little softer. Just my opinion. Even more, these were the BEST shrimp tacos I had in Slidell, Louisiana!! And I can't forget my drink... I usually order water with lemon, but not today! It's Valentine's Day and Hubby paid to order sweetie. Vera has her sweet tea in a science! If you want a taste of Southern Hospitality, then order your SWEET TEA! Not too much, not too little sugar and enough ice cream to ensure that every drop of tea is nicely cooled. Your tea will smile at a Southern Man and make a Southern Lady blush! Well done! I took photos... the atmosphere is casual and they offer stands as well as tables. I HIGHLY recommend Vera's Seafood in Slidell, Louisiana! #verasseafood #veras"
