"I've been a couple of times recently due to work commitments in the area and really enjoyed both visits. First time I went I met with a friend and we both had a full english. The food arrived in around 15mins and was piping hot and clearly freshly cooked (bacon not sitting around on warming plates, etc). Second time I had a gourmet burger which was also excellent. Fine dining it isn't, but hot and very tasty it most certainly is! Highly recommended."

"Great caffe recommended by a bicycle friend, beautiful place to stop with beautiful coffee, excellent choice of cake. I had a bare and blood orange cake! really nice lady served, friendly and welcoming. she filled my water bottle before I left, which is always very appreciated. well throughout the year with heated shed, covered snow, or the courtyard area at sunny days. I will come back!"

"Despite some other very negative reviews, we were pleased with our afternoon tea experience. The restaurant was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We were the only guests there and it was really nice to have it to ourselves. The background music was nice and the staff were friendly and helpful. Our afternoon tea was a gift voucher that we’d booked in advance and it included bottomless bubbles. My wife had 3 glasses of fizz and the English Breakfast tea was really nice too..real tea leaves not tea bags. The sandwiches were tasty and fresh and the savoury tarts were really nice too. The scones themselves were ok, but we figured they had been reheated rather than freshly made. The cakes and other pastries were nice enough although we couldn’t finish them all and we took them away in a box. Overall we rated this as a very pleasant experience."

"Came here for a family holiday that I have been saving up for since had my kids first family holiday owner was lovely when first got there then we was talking to other family’s told them we was Irish then next day owner has come down and said we had to leave even though we had another 4days booked which wasn’t fair as I then had three crying children and a holiday that I’ve saved for a long time ruined had to drive 6 hours back home to new castle so lovely place to stay and lovely owner which is a racist also he doesn’t like younger children as I was told my children wasn’t allowed to use the park on their own even though my caravan was right next to it !! Terrible experience I have got my solicitor on to this as we recorded the owner telling us why we had to leave"

"Such a fantastic family day out. There was so much to see and the price of entry to the barns also included entry to the funfair at the back. No extra charges to play crazy golf or to go on the rides. We all had a great day out and I would highly recommend! The indoor play was great for little ones and there were changing facilities."

"Returned here for lunch which we didn't regret. It's such a lovely traditional country pub. Great cosy atmosphere and really fantastic food. Heard plenty of customers saying how good their meals were. The food is all fresh and cooked from scratch which is very rare...nowadays. Highly recommend."
