"Melt in the mouth roast beef! Lovely Sunday roast dinner with red wine! Usually come here and do the set menu which never disappoints but decided to try the Sunday menu and so glad we did!"

"Excellent online service. I have placed an order over their website, but not properly checked after I have called them email and sort my mistake. Vinyl came shortly after in large condition, no problems and very good customer service. will be shopping again."

"A very beautiful place, in the winter garden of the hotel, with views of magnificent gardens. good table, well positioned. sad was the place ice cold! two heaters were just rolled up as we arrived, why not well before the service begins? they did not impress the temperature, even my man, who rarely felt the cold, was very cool. the menu was interesting, although no side fed or a set menu, what we had very good beds, pumpkin, water cresss and labneh for me, mushroom gnocchi for my man well presented and full taste. I had a champagne to begin, and he had a beer, then a glass of wine with every meal. the service was pleasant when a little slow, as it were only tables that were barely demanding at the time. the prices are reasonable and we know that most restaurants for alcohol are anyway overloaded. unfortunately they refused to honour my Fork booking and the discount they promised. I'm not sure I'd go back because it's really hard to eat when you're so cold."

"Used to be a good gastropub several years ago, but now it seems to be under different management and no way near as good. The roast pork on Sunday was good, but the waiting staff didn't really seem to know what they were doing. Mid priced wines by the glass were below average quality. Service was very slow and unprofessional we gave up without ordering dessert. Clearly not the fault of individual waiting staff, but poor management."

"We traveled by ipswich to celebrate my brother's 50th birthday. the service was excellent, I mentioned that it was his birthday and they were extra attentive. the food was excellent I had never had a brownie as it would definitely recommend."
