"Went here with friends for lunch, there was no particular brunch lunch menu. The pasta dish I had was too salty, I could easily have made it better at home. The dishes my friends had (omelet and pizza) also looked uninspiring. None of us finished our meal. Knowing how tasty real Italian food can be, this chain restaurant was a disappointment. Service was friendly, but very slow. There are no toilets on the ground floor."

"There are not so many places in stavanger that serves Norwegian foods. Maybe because traditional Norwegian cuisine can make a bit of bland and therefore people like to go home instead of paying for them in a restaurant. but we have some good traditional Christmas dinners and many restaurants in the city focus on it in november and December. one of the restaurants that could make the best is city bistro. it is something outside the city center of stavanger and I don't really think about it when I try to come with restaurants in the city. but in november and December, city bistro seems as it produces the good Norwegian Christmas dinners and drinks. the restaurant is divided into several etagens and below is a la carte restaurant. on the upper etagen there are private rooms that they can rent, and that is what we did in november. we were 10 colleagues who decided to have some lutefisk (lye fish and pinnekjøtt. the private room we got a large square table and the star is like an old cabin. we had booked the food in advance as we were 10 and that makes it easier to serve immediately. but before we got the food we were offered akevitt (or aquavit, the Scandinavian spirit, which is aromatized in the rule of carrots (at least in norweg and with different crusts). they also had a good selection of local crafts bier including lervig and jåttå gårdsbryggeri and, of course, a selection of juleøl (christmas ale . I had decided to have as an appetizer lutefisk, and that is a court over which many people have an opinion. it is made from dried/salted cadjau (klippfisk or tørfisk, but it is treated with lukewarm, which can give it a gel-like texture if it has been treated too much. I think city bistro makes it right and they also seem to use good quality fish. the fish was served with a mais fertilizer, potato, speck and senf sauce. In addition, we also got brown goat cheese (which is delicious by the way to worry up. after the starter we got a more visually clean that was a Aquavit ice cream in the round and it seemed like the cook was generous with the aquavit! I had ordered pinnekjøtt as chief. pinnekjøtt is salted and dried lamb ribs and it is a traditional Christmas meal for about 30 40% of all norwegian to christmas eve. the lamb ribs are dried and they must be sold in water for 1 2 days, depending on how salty they are. the court in the city bistro was served in traditional way with kartoffels, carved rutabaga and only juices from the cooking process. it was quite a big part and the ribs contained a lot of meat, but they were something too salty to me. to finish the meal, we have another traditional Norwegian court: risk with berries. riskier is a mixture of cold rice, mixed with whipped cream, so it is quite a rich dessert. this risk was a bit on the firm side, but it was very good in the action. Conclusion: when they come from October to February to get in touch with the city bistro and see what they can organize for them! they can be able to taste some very good traditional Norwegian foods – and foods that are more or less impossible to find in other restaurants in stavanger. if they are lucky, they can even convince them to prepare a smalahove (and a lambhead for them:"

I liked there style for order as soon as they find a table they order online from their phone and write the table number and they will bring their food to their table. "One of the worst sushi experiences I've had. Compared to other places I would say Sabi Sushi Hinna has the same quality as a cheap takeaway sushi place, however, with much higher prices. The fish tasted stale, the rice was not seasoned, and the scampi tempura was Chinese style deep fried shrimp not tempura. What makes the experience worse is that the restaurant has a lot of focus on nigiri, sashimi, and very simple maki rolls. These types of rolls are highly dependent on the quality of the fish and rice, and when these things are subpar, the experience suffers. I would not recommend."
