"General: When we enjoyed the summer freshness at Lake Tegern in 2001, we came to four visits at the Schandl, a traditional inn where the inn was served most personally in full power and the forest workers returned to their regular table after work. The Schandl has closed after a change of the host in October 2015 and since then the property is empty, with the last card in the shop window. As a classic host house is the filming location in Tegernsee. The hotel is located in Alpbachtal next to the shooting ground (vulgo shooting facility of the Royally privileged fire brigade Tegernsee. When we arrived on a Monday night, the 50 meter small caliber system was also shot. There's been nothing in the shooting since 2001 and that's good. At the tribal table in the shade a long table with Tegernseern, many traditionally dressed. On the sun terrace also locals and of course tourists of all ages. The drinks on the warm summer evening stood comfortably on the table and the dishes fit into the order. Not worse than in the Bräustüberl and therefore also for this service four stars. Half Helles from the Tegernseer brewhouse comes to 3,30 € and if you need water, you need 5,10 € for the bottle 0.75 l. A Bergenzian stood on the candy with an already neat 3,10 €. Food: The card is kept very small. Three appetizers with two soups included, two salads, beetles and charlings for vegetarians, sausage salads and liver cheese in the heading bread time and a few classic main foods (large carving Viennese type, sour roasts, grilled meat with potato salad, curry sausage with bumbage, mountain carving). Goat cheese and honey in various preparations is now a classic and has also reached the shooting. But here the goat cheese slices with fig slices alternately and the careful salad with several varieties of leaf salad, pumpkin seeds, corn, red beds. Made with a very mild vinegar (my raspberry). Add a basket with three slices of good bar bread. So not very original, but well composed and carefully prepared. For starters (only 3.75 stars because of the heat deficit of soup. My constant companion then chose the Bergkasschnitzel with Röstitaler and an additional salad (15.80 €) and the Schnitzel Wiener Kunst with Pommes, also with an additional salad (12.80 €). The salads are almost identical to the goat cheese starter, without pumpkin seeds. My carving consisted of two thinly tapped slices that were well baked in the panade. Take a classic and always eat from me. The Pommes fit. Better, because occupied with a thick layer of mountain cheese and congratulated by the strong variety, was the carving of my constant companion. Served with three crowned braids in an iron pan with a brat cheese fund. Very tasty and well portioned. Even if there were no pork roasts, no pork mucosa and no liver cheese in the shooting, it was very well made on the ground and handmade (until the temperature of the soup .... I took salt and pepper mill from the dressage behind me. Ambiente: The filming location is housed in a historic building in Tegernseer style. From Alpbachtalstraße a road goes a few meters high without causing alpine efforts. In the Gaststube a whole gallery of historical shooters testifies to the destination of the place. Suitable for furniture, wood floor and dark ceiling beams. They sit very generously inside. With views of the lake and the evening sun you sit on the terrace with wooden tables with benches and also has enough space. Without this view there is an outer area on the left longitudinal front with entrance. Once protected under the roof and then classic beer garden. The toilets are spacious and modern. Cleanliness: I didn't notice anything negative."

"Super nice not too big hotel. Rooms are real class, no snuck that nobody needs. Beds very comfortable and the bathroom really nice. We had a room with lake view, fantastic. W-Lan is available everywhere and fast. The breakfast buffet is a dream. It is served in a small space and it has everything the heart desires. It's all freshly prepared, really great. In the cosy breakfast room there is also the possibility to eat evening. A great praise to the kitchen, tastes really excellent. There is also the possibility to dine in the hotel owners bar. The bar is very welcoming and it is difficult to leave it. Finally, the staff. All we had to do with were super friendly and very helpful. We can recommend the hotel without worrying and will definitely return to the next stay at Tegernsee."

"Der Ausblick und die Lage am See sind wirklich fantastisch. Leider war der Service nicht perfekt und der Fisch außen zu stark angebraten und innen noch roh. Auch waren etliche Gerichte auf der Karte schon nicht mehr bestellbar, obwohl wir schon um 18:30 Uhr dort waren."

"Having been to the dichterstub'n and to the gourmet restaurant ueberfahrt in rottach-eggern on the tegernsee (see my reviews), i have grounds for comparison.first, the location on the east side of the lake affords the superior view of this most enchanting scenery of lake and mountains, augmented by the restaurant's location, looking out over the treetops.we ate on the terrace -- well-shaded on a very sunny day, big, comfortable chairs, everything just right (maybe the color palette is a bit pale, but that's a matter of taste).they serve only a set menu. one can have the whole menu (advisable) or choose individual items from it. after two delicious amuse-bouches -- the outside limit, i think! -- there was the fois gras dish, one of the very best i've had (cold, of course, which is the only way i'll eat it, since heating it in any way ruins the viscosity of the fat, which is the best part besides the flavor), paired with an excellent kracher beerenauslese. with the rest of the meal, we had a 2011 loimer käferberg first growth grüner veltliner, which was excellent on its own but also a perfect pairing with the wonderful food that followed: norwegian scallops on a cream sauce with leeks, chanterelles, and chives; a poached (just slightly over, the one small disappointment) saint pierre; mango sorbet as palette cleanser; pigeon breast done perfectly and to die for; finally, a most impressive cheese plate (we skipped the buttermilk mousse), followed by pralines.whereas ueberfahrt is too intellectual and precious, wanting you to focus all your attention on the food, which is trying, and whereas the dichterstub'n has great, satisfying food, but in anything but an inspiring setting, the VILLA AM SEE combines the finest food (schwingshackl, the chef, had two michelin stars at his previous restaurant; he just opened this one in the spring, april, i think; so it will probably get stars in due course, and with them probably higher prices; go now) with the loveliest of settings.i would choose villa am see any day over the other two.a wonderful bonus: across the street, right on the water -- a small bistro (in a renovated boathouse) on the shore and a boat on the water. here one can have simpler meals. but here one can also have some of the best cakes and pies you'll find anywhere. having skipped the dessert in the main restaurant, we crossed the street and sat at the shore for another hour or so, soaking in the sun and gorgeous views, while enjoying the best Pflaumenkuchen (plum tart) i've ever had, including, i'm sorry to say, even my grandmother's.going to villa am see on a beautiful day is a fabulous culinary experience, heightened greatly by the astonishingly beautiful setting that makes you want to just sit there forever and soak it in.with good friends or family, you're in for a very happy afternoon or evening. if you can manage it (quite expensive, of course, but not outrageous), don't pass it up."

"General: After arrival with the Bavarian Oberlandbahn, two Munichs stand at the bus stop and look towards the house: “Typically Upper Bavarian, a Thai massage salon and a China restaurant!” However, the China restaurant Jasmin is certainly an ancient rock of gastronomy in Tegernsee when I look at the facility and the map. In Bremen an extinct genus. In the Tripadvisor, jasmine is highly valued and our colleague PaulTJ08 also issued a five-star rating three years ago after a lunch. I think that's exaggerated after dinner. If you go to jasmin with the expectations of “Classic Chinese” and do not have glutamate phobia, you get served classic dishes that are good edible. That jasmin is popular, we can at least testify for the visited Sunday evening, for which I had reserved for the sake of purpose (rain was announced for 18:00. A mix of locals and tourists quickly filled the quite large restaurant. A homepage does not care for jasmine. I see the PLV with solid 3.5 stars. Service: Two women and a young man of Chinese origin performed the service. With the women, an age estimate is hard for me, which I write to the traceless ageing of the Chinese. A colourful top of the ladies, reminded of circus clothing and brocade. The young man wore white at the top, but also a somewhat striking shirt with crosspieces (I would like to look into many costume windows . The reservation two days before was sympathetic, because I was allowed to enter the name itself, although our “reservation name” is simple. This continued at greetings and guidance to the table. Then we got the common welcome swallow, something sweet. The first beverage order also went smoothly and quickly the two appetizers were served. This almost still on the spoon or fork has also been brought to the warming plate, paired with the remark that the kitchen is now working quickly because of the many reservations! Usually the bottle of water awards 0.75 l with 5,00 € and the ten classified open wines with the unit price of 4.50 € for 0.2 l. The Chinese schnappscrackers I like to take are also obtained; my “herbal liqueur” came to 3,00 €. Unfortunately, the figures for alcohol percentages were missing, which were up to 64. Food: The card meets the expectations when you have placed in jasmine. I found the soup selection a bit modest. It is good, however, that dishes were offered over two sides, each consisting of half a portion of a card dish. My constant companion chose the great spring roll (3,50 € and I soup sour-sharf (3,50 €). First, not nearly hot and secondly too acidic. The lack of sharpness doesn't bother so much, you can help with the Sambal Olek from the menage, and then there would be a tick more sour (I gave a pinch of my Habanero powder from the photo can into the spice. The spring roll with its vegetable filling was moderate and when writing it was called three stars. Better the main courts. Opposite, the canton duck had been crisp in tranches cut (14.90 € and I had chosen a mix of also crispy duck breast and beef with onions (14.90 € . Very ordinary portions and the duck breast, but also my beef convinced. To this end, a large pot of glue with lid and two large bowls with sauces. The sauces were based on the same basis. From color and taste a mixture of soy sauce and hoisin sauce, good glue. For the pure duck it was spiced with garlic. This kind of bite making fell a bit against other classic Chinese. Due to the deductions for soup, spring roll and sauces, 3.5 stars remain at the end. Ambience: From the outside, jasmine does nothing and you are amazed at which spaces open when you have penetrated to the vault. On the right of the gable wall there is an outdoor area with classic beer garden furniture, which is well shielded from the street. Inside you get the full resilience to wall and ceiling design, the Chinese restaurant judges probably considered in the eighties to be indispensable. Ceiling hoe, red-brown shiny paneling with backlit classic Chinese motifs in large format, also under the ceiling. To this end, a huge relief with river, banks and ships in our part of the room. The bright tile floor is sober. Pleasant are the place on the tables and the place between the tables. The tables were equipped with two layers of table linen. In the vault area a small fishbassin. Cleanliness: Very well maintained. The toilets from the time of the restaurant, but functional and clean."

"Leider war wir nicht im Restaurant. Aber alles was wir sehen konnten sah sehr viel versprechend aus! Unser Hotelzimmer war aber perfekt. Mit sehr schönem unverbauten Blick über den Tegernsee. Auch die von uns zunächst befürchtete Lautstärke durch die nahe Strasse hat nicht gestört. Das Highlight war sicher die eigene Sauna im Zimmer, auch wenn das Wetter zu schön war sie zu benutzen. Gerne kommen wir hier wieder hin."
