"It would not be surprising if a larger percentage of Indians were vegetarians than any other group, so it is reasonable to expect some excellent Indian food to be made in India. Ariya Jyothi makes exceptional vegetarian meals. Before going over what makes Ariya Jyothi great, let me go over some of the most important ways vegetarian food can be made to not be enjoyable. These are: 1. Let it heat and cool a couple of times before serving. 2. Use vegetables that are not at their peak of ripeness 3. Overcook the vegetables 4. Don't put in any spices 5. Fry it in excessive amounts of oil Ariya Jyothi does everything extremely well and they don't make any of the major mistakes often made in vegetarian food preparations. You can get similar foods to a number of the ones you get at Ariya Jyothi, but you're likely to pay much more and you're still not likely to have an almost perfect meal as Ariya Jyothi prepared for us. Garlic naan with Dal (somethimes spelled Dhaal) is one of my long time favorite dishes. In Ariya Jyothi's version, the dal has an excellent mix of spices. t's not outrageously hot and has a mixture of spices that make Ariya's dal quite special. The vegetable oothappam is essentially a blintz in which a set of cooked vegetables have been placed. Like the naan, it's great when you put dal on it or chutney. Puttu is also very well prepared. It's very good with just about any chutney. While I haven't tried all the dishes, I would expect that all of them are excellent. Finally, I did look for the problems at the restaurant mentioned by some poster, but none of them occurred everything was perfect and just the right temperature. When you pay your bill, you're in for another surprise, and that is how little the food costs. A filling meal for 3 with excellent food came to only a bt over 400 rupees. In US dollars, that's about $6 for a group of three people to eat dinner. Leave a nice tip."

"Had a dinner buffet experience here. price on Rs.1947 per person, the buffet do not impress. my chicken soup tasted good. the starters lacked any form of innovation with a tandoor and 2 chapati wraps with fantastic names! the main course was terrible in variety and taste. none of the salads was good. the squid was sure eucky. the only rice options were pulav and steamed rice. no noodles, no fried rice, no biriyani, not even a single option for pasta. fish curry was too brownish. chicken and hammel mushrooms were uninspiring and boring. had the kauzlaun. the only sacredness I liked was the rich disc butter masala. butter naan and tandoori roti were good. the live counter was just there to prepare the starters. most cakes in dessert were stabbed. halwa and burfi were good. loved the coffee served on request. excellent hospitality. the restaurant ambienece was openly boring."

"As trivian, sagara restaurant is not a new attempt for me. this time when I landed trivandrum, I really lacked the seafood and came here. as usual, they have not failed to welcome us nicely and order is no hard task at all, as the employees are so good to recommend us the best options. we tried Kanava-Doran, karimeen pollichathu and prawns puttu. the puttu was so soft and garnelen masala was so delicious. the Kanava-Thoran they first served was finished before the puttu came and so he turned into a good starter. in comparison to other fish restaurants, prices are easy on the higher side, but of course it is worthwhile for the food they serve. they arrange even juices or shakes of nearby options in very less time. the ambiente and the seats are okay, not so brilliant. but for me this place is always in my favorites."

"Sreevalsam residency is located in vembayam city. the rooms are decent with basic amenities and was clean when I checked in. the electric lights are somewhat old and need replacement. they do not offer tea coffee kit, not the room has a water cooker. the service is fast and the staff is very friendly and they are very quick to help. a basic accomodation for those seeking a stay in vembayam. this a bar connected hotel also, so would not recommend for single families."

"A little hidden gem on the Trivandrum bypass road close to technopark. Excellent for lunch and dinner, the biryani is awesome. They also have some pretty decent combos. The Chinese varieties are also good. Please do try them out if you traveling that way."
