"The Landgasthof Rebstock is located on the passage of the Volkacher district of Escherndorf, an intoxicating beautiful village on the Main, very picturesque, very weeping. "We eat at the Hinterhöfle several times a year and have never found the food less than excellent. The prices have risen with the volume of diners. I understand that. What annoys us is the extra charge for substitutions, e.g. get boiled potatoes instead of potato balls and pay an extra Euro. Both are available in the kitchen. There is no significant difference in preparation time, or ingredient cost or labor. That price add on does not make me poor, but it leaves me with a bad feeling about management."
