"Food very slow to arrive, not hot, restaurant freezing, another table of diners arrived, ladies removed their coats but shortly put them back on again as do cold in there and waiter took my cutlery when he cleared the starters, apologised and bought the dirty cutlery back for me to continue to use! Do not blame the waiter, clearly just started and had received no training, very nervous. Will never dine there again. Awful experience."

"We were so grateful for Thomas through our planning process and the wedding day itself. He gave such a genuine and personable approach to helping us frame our day and organised dead lines too. He really listened to our ideas and needs for our day and I must say he managed to fit in all that we wanted and within our budget too! He suggested ideas we hadn’t thought of and let us mix and match the menu to make it have the family warm feel we wanted. The guests were so impressed at how the day was managed and it flowed so well I didn’t worry about a thing or see any transition between the wedding breakfast and the evening reception. He really looked after us on the day by bringing me out a warm drink during our photos in the rain! He made the effort to meet up with us in a local location to finalise plans and sent me the updated documents so we were always on the same page!His team were super, the waitresses were very observant and polite, the food too was amazing! The venue is stunning night and day, rain or shine!Thankyou so much for looking after us and I’m sure you will become a very popular wedding venue this year!The Davis’s"

"Were looking for a light, late lunch after walking along Beachy Head and Birling Gap, and had seen the Beehive on Google Maps, so we decided to give it a try. Not disappointed. We both ordered our favorite English toasted sandwich, cheese and chutney. My wife's was served on regular white bread while I opted for the sesame and poppyseed roll. We sat outside, in the shade, and in just a few minutes, we were served by the very friendly staff. We enjoyed lunch and our sandwiches so much we purchased a jar of the chutney to bring home. Serves as a reminder of a wonderful, warm, sunny lunchtime in May in southern England."

"Overcooked lobster. Lovely staff lovely restaurant. But food not great.Friend also had a burger that was overpriced and not very tasty. I perhaps should of mentioned it and got them to replace my meal. But I actually did not want to make a fuss."

"The Horseshoe inn is a quaint very old inn. It does need smartening up and there are things that could be done by the staff to improve it, like remove the breakfast offering; cereals and the like after breakfast and not leave them on the table. They could also have more atmospheric music in the evening rather than radio 1. That said, it is quaint with atmosphere, you do step back in time. The food is very good, like you would expect from an old inn. Good country fare, they do offer burgers for those that want, fresh, well presented and good value. The Sunday lunch is especially good. Camila (supported by her team) is a really good cook, her pies are full of meat and all dishes are flavoursome, good portions and good value. we will be visiting again, and again."

"This the second time we’ve come and it wasn’t as good as the first. We felt a bit forgotten and had to wait a much longer time for our main meal. We paid £103 with no starters or puddings and although the food was good, I don’t think it warranted the price tag. It’s a shame the service wasn’t as attentive as it was the first time. You feel with that price you should be very well taken care of."

"I have stopped a few coffees to keep us for the trip to home, command a few youngs before us with complicated, but the guy who served it took it in his step and could not have been more helpful and courteous, the coffee door. was made by another member of the staff and was delish (toffe nut latte) right hit this would be switched on again if we came young"

"Walking around Jevington and stopped in tea gardens on recommendation of a friend. I was not disappointed. I had a great light lunch (cheese and onion toasted sandwich-pioing hot, with small salad), then a nice chunk of chocolate cake. Lovely sitting, good service. Will definitely...visit again."
